I gave it excellent. But if this was to be the 1.0 version, I'd drop the note because as 1.0 it's certainly not excellent. So many things that I still hope to be improved/changed for 1.0... Faction differentation requires money and some engineering hours of those. Do you have them? Elves, orcs, dwarves or smurfs are irrelevant by themselves if there is nothing behind that makes them tick. Dark Elves in MoM required me to play in Myrran and lacked things like archers bu

Not sure why they should ignore so much armor, or any at all.
As there is no such thing as "first strike against cavalry" (or "double damage against cavalry"), ignoring some armour is fine. Not sure that the most basic spear should ignore as much armour as a boar spear though. BUt I do agree with spears being powerful. They are neat. :D

I like using my mundane troops. Right now, my melee champions don't feel awesome so I'm glad that I love to use mundane troops as one of my focus. Not meant to be "How to beat the game in 40 turns or less" (I'm too casual for such testing), my units are quite normal. I like to start using peons initially, until I get access to spears. Which means that if I start with the proper technology, I start using default spearmen from the beginning. Once I have some mass in the city

The terrain in the wastelands is not "alive" so it remains uncolored in the cloth map. Only cities "revive" it around them and get coloured (according to Life/Death magic) in the cloth map. You have outposts in "green" land despite playing with Ceresa.

The only real armour I could use for my archers is that robe with +2 initiative. (in the last game, just because, I upgraded some to heavy armour but at that point they could have gone naked and it would have had 0 impact) That robe and some armoured meatshields to block beasts of movement 7 and similar.

My enemies are very fond of Spear Maidens, which is a solid design (I always use Battle Maidens with same gear as Spear Maidens but more offensive with Bloodthirsty, Charge and Fast). In my last game it lasted enough to actually see my enemies using some warg cavalry with some metal armor. Pioneers should not appear in armies. I can abuse enemy pioneers to heal my army to max in one turn using Heal and/or Regeneration as they do not attack. Plus it does not make

There are many imbalanced things out there, including in the Sovereign creation screen. They only need more twaks in what they actually do and what they actually cost. And for that, time and players reporting stuff. You can stick to use default templates and you should be fine but I love to create my own designs much like I do in GalCiv II.

I have conquered everything but a couple of outposts of my last enemy: Relias. He is in my territory (I just conquered his last city so his domain became mine) with a couple of subarmies of little importance (at that point). I can take my Sovereign out, cloud walk next to him and defeat the poor Lord. But being as nice as I'm, I decide
Wouldn’t you agree it’s cheating if the game doesn’t provide you with UI features that the AI has easy access to? The AI can send 8 armies from distant cities to converge on a target city at the same turn. I can’t easily do that, as a human. Therefore, I didn’t really lose. The AI cheated. Core Sovereigns, core Champions, Custom Sovs with the correct prereq value, custom Sovs wihtout the prereq value... all of them get to choose between core and custom Paths. The modifier is the correct one, everything is in the correct AbilityBonus...I see nothing wrong.</p

Yeah, but I thought it would be only items (gear). If I try to give a prereq of _IsMod (or any other UnitStat, actually) to talents (spell ranks or class paths that I want to appear only to some heroes at level up), it doesn't work either. It doesn't matter the default value and the value given to the Unit that I test with: it's ignored. That's why I had to use a prereq Tech to disable core Path talents. [e digicons]:\[/e]

The other day got bored of how some files are organized and decided to order them better. Still some work to do but I have increased the number of files a lot. But at least I get files for each faction's units, files for different clothing parts and stuff like that. Still working on splitting spells through spellbooks but that's an ongoing process. The only real work is to create new spells for the special books. I have created some few basic ones and will add more as I work o

Complex issue. I think that it could make more sense to hate intelligent beings (Sov, Champs and regular troops, maybe some recruited creatures). Recruited champions of other factions? Each faction could have an "Oath of Fealty" custom spell to add the proper faction stat (keeping the old one so he is dual aligned, or setting all the other faction stats to 0). May consider to use also/instead race for hatred mechanics?
