The nice thing about a digital manual is that you can update it often. You need to update the list of Death spells for Ceresa and others with the new changes (removing Berserk and adding in Shadow Bolt or whatever its called). As a big video game manual critic, I give this an 8.0/10.0, whereas most games these days get a 1/10 for shipping a 3 page pdf with install instructions and nothing else.

Without hundreds (or thousands) of games with a detailed look at the replays to see why some are winning and others are not... I don't see how this is useful. How long does it take to run an AI vs AI game with all the graphics disabled?
I REALLY wish you would make the Pariden buffing phase happen all at once... it makes late game battles very tedious.
Is it just me or does it seem like there was a bug where you couldn't move onto the continent from the newly created land bridge.
I will do my part an do some let's play videos and AI analysis posts!
I think its silly to think that fixing the economy has to do much with taxes. Fixing the economy has to do with with getting rid of leeches that suck money out of the system without putting any back in. The people who are making lots of money but have no employees. Get rid of those and then the economy will more or less work itself out. I think the best thing the government could do is declare a 50% across the board budget cut and start paying off
I don't think its a good idea to let people sell mods. There wouldn't be a modding scene in the first place if it wasn't free in most cases. I also haven't seen any good ways to organize a store to sell mods that can't be gamed to push undeserving mods to the top of the charts. On the flip side, brad mentioned they would look to opening up their engine for other people to make games on. That is what I am waiting for.
Stay on target! Also, if your patching process is anything like mine... there is a difference between "stomping out a bug" and putting a band-aid on it.
I think the new XCOM will be fun because of its RPG elements but I have very large concerns about the controls and some of the design choices. I am very interested in xenonauts except I haven't seen any mention of whether you unlock futuristic technology or if you use the modern day tech for the whole game.
This is still an issue with 0.983 This is probably my # 1 issue with the game right now.
We dont want players to have to play with manual placement on. So we try not to support any mechanics that reward manual placement. So we dont allow you to get access to new improvements by snaking to them. As another benefit it makes your choice of city location that much more important. Placed by a river or forest typically doesn't have as much essence, but is better for food/gildar (river) or production (forest).
<
In most games there will be one AI player that does better than all the rest. It has to do with being more aggressive with expansion and also having a big piece of land all to itself. As far as I know you can't play how you want really. You have to beat the AI at its own game. I really hope that with future balance patches they create a larger set of viable strategies.
The spawnrating determines hero level in conjunction with the goodiehut they come from.
Thanks... I guess it makes sense that the level is modified by the spawner in case you decide to adjust the levels globally.
Also note that sometimes the number you see is wrong. To test a bug like this you should press end turn and see if you gain 1 or 3 population.
I think having in a built in quest editor would be really good for the community... but I would love to see an easy to use item and champion editor so I don't have to muck about in the xml. I looked through the champions and I can't figure out how to tell what level they will be spawned as... I want to be able to make a champion level 9 instead of level 3... how do i do that?
I started a new game and used ctrl U to spy on the AI. All 3 AI had a chance to move to a 4/2/2, as well as other options such as 3/3/2 and 4/3/1 but all 3 settled their starting tile which was a 4/2/1. Please make the AI look around before they settle their first city.
Even if they do get better battery technology in 5 years or so... I wonder how long until its cheap enough to put in these low end devices. I spent a few hours reading a book last night... if weight was an issue it would really bother me.
I think they should make the 1 hit point / season traits amplify healing spells.
The biggest issues right now are priority, which can be easily fixed when the balancing is complete. That is the hard thing about programming. You need the game to be finished before you can really set things up right. Changing just a few balance factors will totally change how the game is played.
This is not 100% correct. This is only an issue if you have scripted AI that uses build orders and
I also think monsters should move at the end of the turn. There's been a few times where I actually dodged monsters by moving at the beginning of my turn while all the actions were being processed.
Longstrider Boots shouldn't stack with mounts...
I am glad to see regular releases of new patches in beta 5!
I meant flying in tactical battle could be really useful. Flying over mountains is not a big deal... they need to put in more stuff to make flying important. Islands with cool stuff could work... as well as cloud castles.
So the way they multiply damage for fireball can't be used in reverse? (5 mages do 1x25 damage, 3 mages do 1x15 damage)
I did end up testing the extra attack vs Higher level and lower level units, those work fine. It seems like if you choose Underdog and Brute on your trained troops, they get +3 attack against all units that aren't exactly the same level, thats pretty useful I think. I think they should be mutually exclusive for flavor purposes.
