I think multiplayer is to hold over people until the AI is finished : P but yeah I would never play a TBS game multiplayer.
In each game I have played so far, I have always had 4 offspring. And I seem to notice the AI players getting the same.
were you expecting 2.5 kids?
They could do some stuff like every spell you know improves your stats, every shard you get improves your stats, give multipliers to items for sovereigns, and add high level spells that enchant your sovereign to make him really strong. The reason being I think its good to start out weak as long as if you choose to devote yourself you can make the sovereign a powerhouse in battle.
I this were me I would be super pissed. Collectors Edition no less... someone make a phone call or send him an extra copy from Amazon or something. Edit: @above poster: If I were you I would stake out in front of their office with a sign : P
I think that variety is the true value of caravans. Regardless of what actual resource is being traded, the idea that you can get exotic foods and materials that allow you to do stuff you couldn't do before improves your life. This is why there is a bonus for traveling farther, because the farther you travel the more exotic your goods are. So i think the current system makes sense (in terms of getting a net value thats greater than both cities production combined) but I don't see how
I hate it being referred to as a Trilogy since Shadow Magic is a standalone expansion, not a separate game. I already own it so yeah not very excited. Also pricing is variable... if you want a great deal wait till its $5 or less!
I think this is a silly question: The reason its being compared to AoW and MoM is because the spell system in Elemental is extremely similar to those games, especially AoW 2. It is so similar that it is easy to see when AoW has stuff that Elemental does not. This is why the direct comparison is so easy to make, and why its relevant. If Elemental wants to have a unique Magic system, fine. Currently its a copy paste of AoW with a few small changes and they should either match what AoW d
Is there a reason why the champion has to be the opposite sex... I'm sure someone will make a mod to fix this but if its real simple the devs should just remove that gender check... don't get me started on the principles of essence-enhanced fertilization techniques.
Giving constructive advice is more useful than apologizing on behalf of those who don't do that. The devs have admitted that they deserve criticism, so there is no reason to say that the game is great and criticism is not warranted. That being said... i'm going to go contribute more suggestions to make the game better : D
Throw out every rulebook you own, video game programming is ad-hoc down and dirty, make it work and worry about the little problems later. Use free code available on the internet whenever possible, copy paste whenever possible, never spend too much time on any one thing. This is what I learned from being a student, and from being the lead programmer in a video game startup. However, that isn't to say you shouldn't code intelligently. In my game, everythin
I am currently playing MoM (i have the original CD) I also have AoW... i will go back and play that when i'm done with MoM. Its just not as good in terms of gameplay depth. HoMM gets boring pretty quick, I have played 2,3,5. HoMM 2 is my favorite because it i played it alot as a kid, the music is really awesome. Kings Bounty: Armored Princess is really good, I like it much better than HoMM but once you get really strong it gets boring. Ther
I think they should change the system so that extra resources are placed on the map, but they start invisible. Once you research the appropriate level of tech, it reveals all of the hidden resources on the map. For gold mines there would be 2 levels of invisibility, one for the first upgrade and one for the empire-only second upgrade. the one problem is that you could unknowingly build on top of one such hidden location, in which case it should randomly teleport to a nearby locatio
I like the system where to found a new city you take X amount of population from an existing city and send them over as pioneers. The new city will start with X population. You can also transfer people between cities at any time like this. I mentioned this somewhere else, but I think that each city should have a unique attribute, bonuses to resources or units buiilt, or technology... something to make having lots of different cities valuable but not a requirement for success. <b
I think that there are plenty of ways to fix this that are much simpler. Just add in some enchantment spells and equipment that do one or more of the following: When a unit dies, it resurrects automatically with 10-20% health; Teleport a unit from combat to the nearest friendly city A unit has a much lesser chance of being hit by ranged attacks, perhaps complete immunity Lower the range of an enemy unit, or prevent it from using ranged attacks. Th
I agree, weapons should effect number of attacks, armor should effect move speed. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Also has anyone noticed that when you save a game for fear of losing a combat with your sov when he has his full movement allotment still left (say it's 6 with all the perks)... you lose the combat and reload the game and now your movement is 2??? What gives with that?
Theres gotta be some penalty from saving/loading your way to victory [e digicons][/e]
I am a huge fan of MoM... I will list a few features that I want Elemental to have and a few features that could fix weaknesses that MoM had. Disclaimer: I have not bought Elemental yet, but I have been following it for a long time. Once it has a more complete set of features I will definitely buy it but I am content to wait for now. I have read a bunch of reviews, watched all the developer blog videos, and seen an in-game walkthrough so i am familiar with most or all of the game.
