- Bound demons (Resoln) don't seem capable of entering tiles in which resources or outposts of any sort (non-hostile) are placed. The pathing AI does not seem to register this, however, and causes the pathing simply to stop. When you order the demon to continue moving, it simply stays put. With luck, you can maneuver the demon around the offending tile manually, but this is not always possible (bottlenecks with non-hostile cities). - In smaller strips of land, after around m

Wandering through a non-hostile zone, I was asked to leave, and complied. My unit promptly found itself in the middle of a chasm, never able to leave it. Had to disband.
Oddly enough, when a new city is founded, outposts retroactively default ownership to these newer cities if these are deemed closer. Yet even stranger, upgrades currently being built by an older city are (not always, but often?) to which the outpost had belonged are still built by that older city -- using, however, the production values of the newer city! Thus disrupting the ownership of an outpost by city A through city B while city A is still upgrading the outpost causes city B to kee
The floating pickaxe HUD icon remains over many resources I have already built -- but not all, and not all the time. Loading fresh erases most, but many reappear upon turn generation.
I've had this happen a few times, not entirely sure I know why it happens sometimes but not always -- I frequently end up staring at the round Mirror of Galadriel thingy which houses the main menu interface (new game, load game, etc.), but without any options to do something, so I am forced to shut down the client via the program manager and relaunch. One of the things which seems to cause this is sometimes clicking outside the text field when prompted to type a save game name. Grrr
Curious as to the difference between Dom 2/3 and Dom 4. I belonged to the minority which did not see much of a difference between 2 and 3 (despite the ages), but I'd be willing to give it a shot. Reading this here http://www.illwinter.com/dom4/improvements.html doesn't make me all that terribly excited. I've never actually finished a game of Dom3 (just got too bogged down by the late game), althoug
That's fair enough. I still see a lot more room for added flexibility and fun without resorting to DLC, but I do agree that under a tight resource-management a consolidation of features into a smooth system is in order. I'd prioritize and believe that UI fixes are the most important, then fixes to unit pathing (non-enemy units should not disrupt pathing), then documentation, then a fleshing-out of the spellbook (at least make the "standard" spellbooks, the o
I cannot get a certain Fortress to build a Wall. Playing Resoln in 1.2, have a level 2 Fortress, selecting Wooden Wall from the build list invariably causes the client to freeze and crash.
Could you kindly separate the "Fallen Enchantress" subsections from the "Legendary Heroes" subsections (much like you had done with Elemental and Fallen Enchantress a while ago)? I often get confused between which subforum I might want, and I already know my way around here well. Reading the first post headline in "FE Support" I see "Fallen Enchantress 1.4 Changelog", but this refers to FE Vanilla, not FE:LH, and I have inadvertently posted in the wrong subforum because of things like t
Just playing Resoln for the first time, and see that the very first units it learns to train ("Sentinels of Hagudst") come pre-made with the Plate Mail Proficiency trait. Resoln is incapable of making any kind of armor above leather at any stage of the game.
Something like the following scenario happens quite frequently in my games. I tell units to go from point A to point B, both of which are in my territory, and see their prospective path P in safe lands. Trips such as these might take 8-15 turns. I forget about the units for a bit. Usually 6-20 turns later, I receive a message that Unit U is under attack and decimated. (This is particularly bitter when the units in question are Pioneers.) The problem is, the units in question did not take thei
I'd try to send you a save, but currently something seems very broken, I all of my turns ended in a client crash, and then I think I pushed the wrong button after a crash and asked Steam to download files from its cloud to my computer, now nothing of that game works.
Thanks. My game always reaches a certain turn (189), no matter from where I load it from now, and crashes. :(
Everytime I attempt to generate a turn, it freezes shortly after generation, and then I get a windows popup which says that elemental has stopped working, and I have to shut it down. (If I try to load a previous save, I get an error message that the game is incompatible with the current version (steam client de-synch??), and then a black screen which I cannot load anyrthing from anymore -- like the main menu, just blank, missing all the buttons.) How can I tell what is wrong?
LH has been crashing a lot lately, and now Steam is constantly asking me to synch files on my computer to its on the cloud. Sometimes it says it doesn't work. Not sure what I should be doing -- always downloading from cloud to computer, or uploading? thanks much!
OK thanks. I've never seen Executioner before, and I was confused because it doesnt seem like these traits are on any of the other opponents so far.
I'm experimenting around in 1.2 playing a large map with 6 opponents, one of whom is Tarth, who promptly declared war on me. All of its units seem to have a bunch of traits I have never seen on trained units before (unique icons): regeneration, greatly improved dodge, improved attack vs. champions, etc. None of the other opponents seem to have these "extra" traits. What am I not understanding?
The "toggle to auto-play" does not work when this bug is active, but the "auto-resolve the rest of battle" button does work, the result of which is invariably my entire army dying. It always seems to be some brood hunter in the back who is treated as friendly. No matter what I do.
I've never used any mods. Ever. I'm wondering if Focus is bugged. I've only found this in my current game, and I have been using Focus. Trying to find out what causes it, because it is not all the time, only frequently.
Verfickt! It's after any spell now actually. Not 100% all the time, but any damage spell from my sovereign now ruins combat. Not sure if there is a prerequisite, but something is screwing it up. Argh
I have been casting mostly fireball, and quite frequently afterwards, I cannot target the enemy with a normal attack anymore, because it is treated as friendly although it has a red bar over it. Infrequently, the battle stagnates and I have to reload because the enemy is treated as one of my units (it is highlighted, but I cannot do anything with it, including passing my turn, so the battle is unresolveable).
Thank you for the helpful feedback! That really helps me, and I also hope it helps Derek and any other members of the team to get some more orientation. I also agree that not only is it unclear and often unintuitive how certain champions obtain certain spells, and that most of the best are often in the generic category, but also that the "best" spells seem to be obtainable with the least amount of investment. I also agree that some elements unlocked in the tech tree come to early o
EDIT: Since 1.5 just came out, I am changing the title and some small elements of the OP, the bulk of the original post is, however, still applicable. I really like what I can see of FE:LH 1.3 a lot so far, and don't think that LH needs much to become a truly "great" game (rating above 8/10). I think this is all it needs to go down in history as meeting the promise of the best successor to M&M and surpassing it as the next milestone. With one exception (see §5 below
Thanks so much. I just tested and think I am getting ripped off. According to the link above, I am getting this: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2885109008 which is exactly 6 MBbit. Exactly the throttle of what I would have gotten had I gotten the shitty standard package. It's as I had suspected, they are cheating. Is there anything one can do about somthing like this? I am confused as to
Hello people, I just moved, and just got hooked up with DSL from the evil people of Vodafone, by way of Deutsche Telekom. They claim to have given me, for a substantial cash subscription on my part, a very high speed 50MB connection (instead of the standard 6 which, apparently, for Berlin is normal). But I have my doubts. I'm not sure if a wireless ethernet connection to my laptop effects DL speed, or where a bottleneck might come from, any tips are welcome. C
