The current game says Year 321 or such, and season 650+, and the slowdowns between turns and OOM erros have become much more common. Sometimes game is saved as soon as I click, other times it takes quite a few seconds, and a few times (just after Autosave), it locks up solid, I have to use the power off button.. I was wondering whether my system isnt powerful enough anymore - it just had its 1st birthday.

System Specs - Laptop, Core2Duo T6600 (2.2 GHz), 4GB RAM,  500GB HDD (must be 5400RPM), ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 with 512MB. Resolution 1366X768. Win XP.

I was wondering if a more powerful comp would avoid the crashes.. what system do you guys use?
