<Rant> Alright. I have never considered myself a forum troll, but the latest update really makes me feel like one, so maybe I am one and just didn't know it yet.
You have been warned.
After updating to 1.11, I have had nothing but problems loading my mod which I spent easily 45+ hours on. Fine, if you don't want to make the game mechanics interesting or dredge up any compelling creative inspiration whatsoever for the game, ok... I can spend a little time doing that myself, sunk-cost effect and all. Plus, I'm on vacation.
But, when trying to load this mod, which worked PERFECTLY in version 1.10, I have gotten nothing but crashes to desktop as the game loads. I'm not doing anything fancy or exotic, and the majority of those previously mentioned 45 hours were spent testing to make sure that the code actually worked. But now, I can't even play the ******* game. I removed all the mod files and rebooted, and recompiled the xml. Still got the CTD. I reinstalled the game with the mod files gone. Good, I get one successful load. I think that maybe it was a fluke. I put the files back in and I get a CTD.
Again, I repeat, I had easily 50+ successful loads of this mod before the update.
I remove the files, reboot and still get CTDs. I verify the installation and redownload the files that I apparently need. I get more CTDs. The debug.err is about as useful as a female midget in a ***** **********.
I thought that one of the major selling points of this game was supposed to be modability. I had assumed that you all had learned your lesson about quality assurance.
But you ************* should really consider testing before you release a ******* patch which breaks **** that people, who have supported your game to a fault have spent valuable ******* hours of their life working on. </Rant>
