Here's a battle between Janusk (15 attack, 10 hits), Moi (2 attack, 18 hits) and 2 bandits (10 aattack, 5 hits each).
As you can see, the output is rather unexpected:

What really happened:
Moi could move.
Janusk had a move of 0.5 and therefore sat like an idle duck waiting to be slaughtered.
Eventually, Moi was downed, and then the bandits fell Janusk in a single blow despite his showing 15 sword and 10 hits while the brigand showed 10 sword and 5 hits.
Furthermore, the figures shown in the attached picture have nothing in common with the swords actually shown during the battle. Maybe the swords in the battle report don't mean the same as the sword everywhere else in the game? Anyway, the screen is bugged so it probably doesn't matter.
A character should NEVER be unable to do anything.
At least, he should be able to flee, or move, or counter attack when struck.
Units should in my opinion always have at least one move.
It would also be a very good idea to allow units to attack right after moving. I know morale avoids the run in circles syndrome that we had in MoM, but it's realistic to be able to charge (and even get a bonus in such a case), and furthermore it would speed up the battles a bit, and make the "I wait to defend you LOUSY AI, so you'll stop one tile in front of me" less of a problem.
