It appears that some terrains cost more to move through than others do. That's fine, but the player needs some way to know what the cost is for a square before moving into it. Right now, it's too easy to get caught near to a wandering creature you think you can move past, because the terrain cost you some movement.
My preferred answer would be to have a small bit of text in the HUD descibing the name of the terrain type and its movement cost for whatever square your mouse is hovering over. Less convenient and intuitive, but also usable would be to display it in a corner popup (like the terrain special features do when you mouse over them), but only if you press, say Ctrl or Alt.
Alternately, like some games do (ie: HoMM, the Total War games), when the user right clicks to move, show the intended unit path, with the current move range highlighted in one color and furture moves in another. Then the user clicks again on the same spot to actually do the move.
