To certain extent you can do it yourself - There is a rename function for each town. I use a f c or t prefix - depending on what my original plan is when I settle. The main name for each is alpha-bravo-charlie - etc The alpahs are usually my cor cities - modify to suit yourseldf
I'm curious as to how the AI is going to use the raise/lower land spells. I too thin k tyhe cost now is waaay to low. I can see myself using this both offensively and defensively. Up till n ow I have used it once.

This is an an expansion on my main pet peeve with what is otherwise shaping up to be an excellent game Generally I've found that the AI wil hold to a NA Agreement so long as you hold the whip hand - i.e. Higher military power Where the problem, consistently arises is if you are the jun ior player. Usually If I meet a more powerful AI I will negotiate THe NA and other treties on turn of meeting, before the prioce of poker goes up in later

I had something similar - posted "The amazing catapult" along with a save One of the devs couldn't duplicate I ended op finishing tac w autoresolve - and the final result was ok. I imigine it would be tricky to duplicate - track down
Its due to global warming ;-) Ive seen this in multiple releases 1. You still cant access the water tiles - so it doesnt matter 2. The water will most li8kely show up at some future point
