You mean back in 2010? Or during the beta? Nope.. there you go again with tall stories. News flash, just because they listened more to you metagamer types doesn't make my opinion any less valid. The more you make up stories and
The primary lesson that was learned FROM WoM was that haphazardly throwing in features that do not enhance gameplay will seriously detract from gameplay, and that no amount of make believe story time in the imagination of (most) players will make up for this Deficit. Thank you FE teaming for throwing away dung systems such as dynasties.
I agree with this. WoM had the problem of trying to b
Most of these, besides permadeath and possibly population and wars, are fairly irrelevant to the game. Dynasties even though I really liked the idea never really added anything to the game. City snaking was a huge problem back in the beta, I am guessing you weren't around for that. Sea travel isn't important. There really is no reason to travel across the sea, instead flying would be a better idea.

The AI of the enemies default to Easy, so you probably just changed world difficulty and left the AIs unchanged.
It is only available through digital distribution. If I remember it correctly it allowed for SD to spend more money on the actual game instead of on having to ship the game out and all. I am sure if you give this thread enough time I am sure Frogboy might be able to give you a solution to putting the game onto a physical medium. You could buy a USB flash drive (A 4gb is like $8) and put the game on there.
AV stands for Anti-virus. It is software that you download that scans files on your computer for viruses. Are you familiar with computers? The game is fine if you are downloading it from SD's site or Steam.
Yes. I have it right now. What kind of AV are you using? It could just be a bad AV. I have never seen this problem and I have downloaded several iterations of the beta and the full game.

The game was terrible and it is just a waste of funding to continue to support it. It'd be like using windows 95 when they released 7.
It is the wrong way, and not so simple because then everyone would be forced into researching in one tech tree just so they can get a decent pace of units to rebuild their armies and to expand their territory. As much as you don't like it, aggressive expansion is a play style some people use. It is a strategy game, there are different ways to play. aggressive expansion however has one glaring flaw, weak defense and poor resp
I would love a steampunk mod! I don't know how to mod and my 3D modeling skills are close to nil (though I have a lot of Photoshop experience). If there are some modders or even just a modder that wants to join up with me I would happily write some flavor text, a story, and all of that.
After learning the basic mechanics of the game it get's easier. I am not the best player but I can win most normal games if the AI doesn't outexpand me and I waste time. The early game is all about expansion, I always hit Civics as my first tech so I can rush pioneers to take up any free space my Sov can find. Also remember that Scouts are you friends. Unlike in the civ games where they are mostly useless. You're just scratching the surface. You still haven't eve
I believe Brad said they've washed their hands of it, if you will.

The perfect amount of soullessness. Like defense attorneys.
If I had a soul this would offend me. I hope this favorable review really gets the market pumping. I want this game to do awesome in the market.
Quoting dangerlinto, reply 1Sadly, as much as I like this game, I have to dismiss the review entirely on the basis that the author used the "word" "addicting"... I'm sorry, but this is a terrible opinion. Do you dismiss foreign language opinions because they spell things differently to you? What is this thought process? To be fair though Brad, Diablo III actually deserves it's incredibly low user score: it really is that bad.
As someone said earlier, if you think Diablo 3 is a bad game you have become jaded about the passion of gaming. Brad, though our politics may not exactly agree, has always seemed like he loves the community. I have a lot of respect for him as not only a business owner but as a talent in the gaming industry.
8.25 is a hell of a review honestly. It's above average - great. So I mean that is what I think of the game.
Metacritic keeps throwing me weird server errors. I guess I am not the only one. I think an active community says a lot about a game too. If the game has a community with people that truly love the game (fanboys, if you will) then that says something about it.
My only gripe with FE is (besides the little bit of polish it needs) is that the turn based battles get boring. I get my doomstack of champs (augmented with a couple trained troops) and I can just deploy the near same strategy with each battle and it get boring. There needs to be more depth in the tactical battles because I don't trust autoresolve.
And finally, since I'm a huge fan of Steampunk-ish stuff, I am really hoping there will be an expansion (or mod ) taking the tech tree in that direction (early muskets / steam / railroads towards the end of the tech trees ? one can dream ) I would love to see an Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magicka Obscura type mod
+1111010101010010110 I would kill for an awesome steamp

So take out all differentiation of play style? I am not trying to troll here, but I am having a hard time in seeing where this mod adds anything. City improvements adds specialization to cities so that you can have 3 cities that pump out research and another one that has maximum modifiers to troop improvements in a city. Removing technology would make differentiation difficult. If I am playing a fire mage I head towards the fire spell book in magic research and I get some power
