[quote who="kku" reply="5" id="3266980"]You must first understand the fundamental nature of the "Rule Of Law". Strip away all of the irrelevancies such as the imposing buildings, the polished wood dais, the black robes and icons, the pomp and circumstance and the dusty volumes of incoherent law books. What is left is the real nature of the "Rule Of Law": the will of one imposed upon another through the use of force or coercion. Notice that this definition says nothing about the concepts

Welcome to the flock! I put nearly 20 hours in on it without realizing it. I'll play for 3 hours and look up and realize that a significant period of time had passed without me realizing it.
This is really sweet. Remind me of a Civ 4 mod I played back in the day that was centered around rebel groups and spy networks. Haha. Pretty cool.
My favorite play is a magic sov. Expanding fast is helpful if you can, but it isn't necessary to win. The name of the game is scouting. I get 1 scout out ASAP, if you can get two out to cover more land. Once you know your surrounding I usually go for 3 or 4 cities and build my capital as a unit mill and 2 more to get research/mana and then the 4th as a town to get gildar but you don't have to. As far as research it depends on what playstyle I am going
I love playing a fire mage for my sov and then having a supporitng mage with life and air (if I can find one) and the rest are usually melee heroes unless I find a character that is just already built for mage. I don't like having more than 3 mages though.

The game defaults to Easy. There's two levels below easy. And above challenging, all bets are off. If I could play scary sounds to distract you to help the AI, I would. I don't own elemetal yet, though I'll tell you why I would maybe increase the dif
That is insane. I am not sure how all of a sudden a community can just decide to hate someone without hearing an entire story. I guess this is where the theory that anonymity gives power to the powerless comes in. I can hide behind a screen name and say anything I want with little to no repercussions.
[quote who="Bellack" reply="51" id="3264825"] Quoting xarilius, reply 26While I agree that most of you probably know the game better than I do as you have much more games under your belt, this whole attitude of "go play 20 games then come and comment on what needs work" is silly. You do realize that the majority of the people buying a game like this may never get past the 5-10 game mark, let alone 20? The value of a criticism from someone that's played 2 games is as valuable as

It would make tactical battles that much more tactical. I don't think saving and reloading is cheating, I am not deceiving anyone, and I am not breaking the rules of the game. THAT SAID. I only load a game in FE when the game is bugged, that is fairly rare that I ever do that and the Autosave feature is enough of
[quote who="parrottmath" reply="2" id="3264583"]I love to play this game as an ironman. That said I do as you put it 'save scum', but this is to check out different tatics within the game and see some of the different portions that I would be too afraid of trying in a real game. I also 'save scum' when my kids decide to push a button on me and now I have to live with that choice... or the game glitches out. I really don't like playing all my games on 2
I've never seen it done but my best guess (don't take this as fact) would be the city details screen.
Seems like 3.5 - 4 /5 is the general consensus and I agree. The game was released with a lot of minor issues that needed to be polished.
Save scumming is cheating in my opinion. Strategy games are ALL about decisions (much like roguelikes, which are honestly more strategy than RPG sometimes) and reloading a bad decision is just totally against the spirit of strategy games. Strategy games are about dealing with the decisions you make and making critical decisions. Maybe I am just a 'hardcore' gamer or a purist or whatever you want to call it but I only save to take a break from the game and to avoid crashes. I use a sin
So let me get this straight, I am not sure how this works because I am of the school of thought that you are a piss poor strategy gamer if you savescum to win, but you're saying the game is too easy but you're save scumming? Save scumming is cheating. Reloading every battle to dive headlong into and lose doesn't make sense to me. Strategy gaming and FE is exemplary of this is about dealing with your decisions. It would be like going to Vegas and sitting down to a black jack t
They need to make the movies in the Knights of the Old Republic story. I want to see Revan and Malak on the big screen.

I've never made a governor. I find no use of them because by late midgame I've built up all of the cities I'll need to steamroll late game. Most of the time I'll ravage a weak AI to get a few good cities that they've built and it will usually give me some good border cities to back up my forward army.
I find archery more valuable personally. I usually end up with numerous iron mines versus only a few crystal mines. I also find my crystal runs out a lot faster than my metal. I tend to start with a few cities in the early game (Usually 4 to 5) and build a couple of those into major producers and by mid game I can steam roll the rest of the cities I need from a weaker AI. That is what happened in my last game.
