@gekkostate: I missed that cutoff date by a month, but I don't find it saddening at all. If you're really curious about LH and you thought the past games showed promise, I certainly recommend getting it sooner than later. While I buy very few video games these days, very few have I enjoyed in the past few years as much as Legendary Heroes. A well-made game that has devs actually listening to its consumerbase/fanbase, willing to learn from its mistakes/shortcomings an

I've been getting a bug with CoS since around the update of LH 1.2 (so I'm assuming CoS 1.2a). While playing the Beastlord class (and perhaps any class with Earth spells), the Nature's Call ability doesn't work anymore. It used to work just fine with CoS before 1.2, but now when you cast it in battle, the casting animation and sound effect still occurs, but no creatures are ever summoned. As I remove CoS from the Mods folder, the ability works just as inten

Really happy to see you making these changes, especially when you consider how many other developers don't bother updating/fixing/improving their DLC once it's released (no matter how badly it may need it). This is precisely why I barely spend money on other games these days while supporting this game 100%.

After a lot of isolating specific mods, I can confirm the issue with DLC armor not being equipable was caused by a unique combination of mods I was using. I believe GFireflyE doesn't use Children of Storm (according to one thread where you mentioned that), which would explain why all of your sovereigns can use the armor and some of mine can not.

Heavenfall just snuck that one in as an easter egg. Few are lucky enough to witness the mating rituals of armored warboars. But seriously, that image made the start of my day. [e digicons][/e]

^ Helps to read all recent posts before posting, as the two posts immediately before yours answer your question. As I pointed out, there are various major bugs in my game as well (I am using this with CoS). And as BlackRainZ mentioned just above your post, he needs to update Immersion Mod, as it isn't currently compatible with the most recent version of CoS. Until then, expect massive bugs if you're using CoS. Take your time, BlackRain. :

Thanks for your consideration, Derek. I will add that all sovereigns I've tried have been custom and of custom factions, but all of them from human vanilla races. Some can equip the assassin gear, some cannot. Since all of them can wear any other kind of armor, I can certainly upload a save when I get a chance. I suppose this could be mod-related, but I've never had an issue with armor not working before. Just glad I'm not the only one with th

Star Adder, are you saying the AI is incapable of dominating any faction with multiple cities (even on ridiculous)? I haven't found the AI to be nearly this stupid in my experience. They seem to grab the vast majority of goodie huts they come across (always snagging ones I'm close to getting myself constantly (which is a good thing)). Had my cities attacked plenty as well. Although I've never been truly "dominated" by another factio

Not a deal breaker, but it is mildly annoying / inconvenient.
Agreed. Not only most sovereigns/champions can't use them, but the new assassin gear is hogging literally HALF of the goodie huts I come across. It would be one thing if new useless gear was popping up on occ

Agreed 100% with Brewskin on every point. As was said above, there is already a cheat for this to see everything on the map. If a cheat isn't what you wanted, then it simply sounds like this isn't the type of game you're interested in playing. This specific type of exploration is a fundamental part of a 4X strategy game.

After the release of Legendary Heroes 1.2 patch and now Children of Storm 1.2a, I've noticed some serious problems (like no summoned creatures appearing when summon spells are cast) after isolating this mod as the source of all the bugs I was getting. I suppose it's to be expected to act up when you consider all the areas this mod affects if it's not up to date. You've been great with updates and I'm sure you will in time. Just wanted oth

I think you're going to find much of this forum overwhelmingly against the idea of full-blown multiplayer for LH. One of the reasons I love LH is because is because it doesn't have multiplayer. It focuses solely on a solid single player sandbox experience -- and it plays to that strength quite well. I currently view Stardock as one of the last bastions gamers like myself can rely on because they understand that multiplayer doesn't need to always be sho
At first I was thinking the Children of Storm mod has both elves as well as dwarves, but then I remembered the dwarves are actually referred to as "gnomes". They still look and play far more like dwarves, and much of the xml literally still refers to them as dwarves. Although I doubt anyone knows the answer to this oth

That's wonderful news. Glad to see you're still with us playing LH! And make that another who recommends moving this to LH mods. It's a crime that your fantastic work isn't getting more attention since LH's release.

^ #4) They help keep rival factions away from any areas you want for your own, especially when it involves keeping their pioneers from settling on precious resources, or simply getting too close to you. Agreed 100% with Stalker's other points. Although I can also agree that taking * heavily * from a city's population as well as outpost upgrades affecting city build cues wasn't the best way to handle it -- I'd much prefer they sim

Yes, I'm using some of the CoS files that hide vanilla sovereigns. Both it is then. And judging from what you said, I take it Armored Militia doesn't affect custom factions (without further editing it)? Or am I reading too much into things as usual... Regardless, thank you.

191 Replies 532,944 Views

In regards to installing Armored Militia; if we use CoS, I assume we only install the 'CoSArmoredMilitia' folder. Although I noticed there has been recent adjustments specifically to the non-CoS version. Is there anything in the update I'd be missing out on (balance improvements etc) if I only install the CoS version? I apologize if this has been addressed already.

Yes to boats, but I'd also like to see a number of features added/improved upon beforehand. Features like more polished, realistic, and interesting battles -- with legitimate obstacles that actually block projectiles, objects that can hurt a unit if knocked into them, ranged weapons that actually have a limited range of usefulness, varied elevation with cliffs that are actually dangerous etc. After that, incorporate legitimate dungeons, more creativ
