If they * COMPLETELY * revamp the loot system and incorporate the ability to actually get good items in-game now that the silly auction house is gone (and thus no justification for its sorry existence), maybe I'll consider getting this game next year. Once that's out of the way, it just depends on how interesting and substantial the expansion(s) will be. And Heaven

Happy to hear things are coming along with a lot of new content coming up. Such an ambitious mod! On that note, could you give us an idea on how your plans of incorporating compatibility with CoS is going? I know you've been looking into it; but since I haven't seen mention of it lately, I assume the two won't be fully-compatible by the next release. Any insight you can give on this would be fantastic. I also still use Heroic
I wonder if anybody would complain if there was more stuff. I mean there is never enough. People will always complain. 5$ is less than I pay for lunch at work. They are almost giving stuff away here. I'm not complaining. [e digicons]k1[/e] This is exactly what I've been saying in regards to my problems with the loot pack. Gag items or not, this is the first DLC I haven't purchased, simply because it doesn't match up to the scope and quality of the past 2 DLC's. This one is just too bare bones. But if StevenAus's suggestion was put into action, I would've purchased this DLC in a heartbeat.
^ Yeah, I find this exact sentiment is the consensus with those I've talked to as well, Flector. I too have purchased and enjoyed every DLC for LH, until now. I decided not to buy this DLC, simply because it doesn't have enough to make it worth buying. It has nothing to do with being against the 2 notorious "gag items"; I have no problem with that. It just didn't offer enough to be worth another $5 to me. It sou
Stein. The first step is admitting you have a problem.
I'll go on record to say I still *VASTLY* prefer this to the "MEGA TEXTURE PACK/ My packs mods for LH " mod that was released on the Nexus recently. These textures all fit together quite nicely in terms of graphical style and high quality. They truly elevate the visual quality of the entire game. I can't say the same for the other mod.
^ I'd take that as "the mod isn't perfect", and you may see the items still appear, but as meaningless empty slots. I've seen this happen in other mods. I still can't find which mod is causing it, but I have a "building" appearing as an empty slot that "can be built" taking up one turn to build. It's clearly a glitch that accomplishes nothing by building it. The only thing building it accomplishes is you will no longer see it on you
I think it was because he was "yelling" in all caps in another thread he made, and thus was scolded for it. But that was very nice of you, PaulB1 . I too would like to apologize if those apologizing don't know what they're apologizing for.
@OP: I really hope the part about "too much content" was also sarcastic. Because many (like myself) didn't buy the DLC because it didn't offer ENOUGH content (when compared to their other DLCs with the same price tag), regardless of the 2 notorious items getting all this attention. I don't mind one way or the other about 2 gag items. This coming from somebody who has bought every DLC until now.
Nothing wrong with bunny slippers in my book. Just wished this pack offered a bit more than it does. And by the way, how/why did you decide to make it 33 total items? [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Don't see the big deal; I'm fine with a few "gag items". It's only 2 items out of 33, and that's in addition to every other item already in the game. So I don't expect you'd see these two worn by AI very much, if at all. However I still haven't purchased this DLC, simply because IMHO it doesn't have enough to make it worth buying. Compared to the outrageous amounts other companies charge f
I've disabled autosaves awhile ago because they were causing me endless crashes. And it looks like I won't be enabling autosaves anytime soon... [e digicons][/e]
My only concern is if a handful of the new items show up CONSTANTLY in goodie huts etc like the ninja loot did in the quest DLC. Fortunately the quest DLC issue has since been fixed and those items don't take such high priority anymore. Just would hate seeing literally every other treasure chest with bunny slippers in it.
Wait, there's GIANT LOLLIPOPS?? Okay, NOW I'm buying this. [e digicons][/e]
You don't need to be rude; I was simply responding to another's post. Didn't know that was against the rules. Apparently you didn't see my edit above, when noticing you posted right before I did. What you keep saying is not a discount though -- not if you didn't want everything offered in the package. Nearly every season pass I've come across gives you a good amount of bloat-content to justify its high price. You
^ It's not a discount though -- not if you didn't want everything offered in the package. Nearly every season pass I've come across gives you a good amount of bloat-content to justify its high price. You end up generally spending more money doing this, not less.
I guess some people would rather pay one big fee than a bunch of little fees. Even if it works out to be mor
The concept of the "Season Pass" is generally just a cheap gimmick/scam leading people into spending a lot more money than they would otherwise have to for DLC. That, and you tend to end up bloating your game with a bunch of content you probably didn't want. As always, there are a some exceptions -- I'm just happy Stardock doesn't do this.
every faction has a trait/ability that seems overpowered... that's what makes them fun, unique, and play differently. if you stop playing pariden long enough, you'll soon find out that altar's henchmen, rush ability, and quest loop is overpowered, resoln's shard corruption and death spells are overpowered, yithril's juggernauts are overpowered, tarth's double-strike is overpowered, and so on...[/qu
^ Actually I used to get a very similar, if not identical crash. Switching to the hardware mouse cursor helped me immensely , and I only crash now if I alt+tab the game after about 30 minutes of play (the infamous "DX Error: Invalid Call" crash many people have been getting with this game since the beginning of Elemental:WoM). Without ever alt+tabbing, I now pretty much get zero crashes -- a claim I couldn't make back in the E:WoM days. It's
Yeah, June 22nd. BlackRainZ: I PMed him specifically to ask if he minds someone taking over if he's done, but haven't heard back. I think it's over my head to do reliably, otherwise I would. That would be wonderful if you used your talent towards updating this in any capacity, although I completely understand waiting for the "ok" out of respect.
I think it would've been a lot more obvious if someone else in this thread was actually ranting like that. [e digicons]:P[/e]
I tried PMing him awhile back and haven't heard from him. In June he said "I've been really damn ill lately" and hasn't posted since 11 days after that. Purely speculating of course, but I hope he's alright. On the other hand, people frequently disappear for months at a time. Or perhaps they decide to quit modding and vanish permanently without a mention. Obviously it would be a shame to leave after starting such a tremendous mod, but some
Same problem here. Although this was hardly introduced recently, at least not in my case. In fact, I've had the ever-changing/glitchy mouse icon issue since the beginning with Elemenetal:WoM . And sadly, still have it today with LH 1.3. I've always had to use the default windows mouse cursor in-game to get around this problem. It's a solution that saves me from having to restart every 30-40 minutes, but still
If they simply fixed the ever-changing/glitchy mouse icon issue, and crashing to desktop if I ever alt+tab in and out of the game after roughly 30 minutes of playing, that's really all I've ever wanted. I've had both of these issues since the beginning of Elemenetal:WoM, and still do to this day in LH 1.3.
