They always did for me, and yes, it's annoying sometimes. Noticed at least since .86, not sure about WoM. A more technical description: When loading a saved game, every unit with movement points and a set target movers its full move allowance toward the target before the player gains control.

I have seen this a few times already, back to at least .86. It tends to happen whenever you have a geometry like in your screenshot: Two zones of influence (almost) touching in a slightliy diagonal configuration.

I have gotten that from time to time even back in WoM. Normally, zooming out to cloth map and back in tends to fix it. In FE, it seems to happen when memory is getting tight (just like other optical strangeness), so take it as a hint to save, exit the game and start it again.

Verified today. Magic Tech Tree: There is no tooltip for the last icon under sorcery. That seems to be Dispel Enchantment. For me the hit point bar gets updated at the start of the attack animation, while the floating damage numbers show up at the end of the animation.

Take a second look at the possibilities of XML modding, they seem to go quite deep. Looking at what Heavenfall has shown possible with special resources, you may well be able to create colored mana by creating special temples per kind of shard. It's less clear whether you could create spells that consume colored mana (but WOM had spells that needed you to have a certain kind of number of shards), and IMO unlikely that you could get a "1 fire + 3 any" mana mechanism like in M

This has been mentioned a few times. Every enemy with the MAUL speciality (attack again and again until the target evades) at least causes a long pause (say ~30sec). So maybe if you wait a while, your game will recover; mine always did, but it's extremely annoying. Be warned that defending (shield icon) also takes a long time - maybe just as long.
