almost forgot, henchmen have access to special traits: +1 army strategic regen +10% xp +5 armour forget if there was a fourth, don't think there is. you can creat your own henchmen now and pick your three traits so you can take 3 magics or 2 magics and a trait, or 1 magic and a trait. i like to take life magic, muscle, for +1 damage and then something else if i have access to books to grant elemental magic
henchmen life aid heal grow fire burning hands fire dart fireball water slow chaos bolt summon ice elemental air haste ranged air shield lightning bolt earth summon boulder stoneskin the spell that pounds everyone next to you no death spells.
I just tried the puppy build for a few turns and i get a huge performance boost. My computer also unloads the game faster when i exit it. Graphics performance improves as well - i think all the particle effects and transparencies are shoiwng up properly on my graphics card now. My laptops have no trouble with them, but my mac has a low end graphics card which is purring now on the game. I'm running it on bootcamp in windows 7. mac pro quad core, nvidia geforce7300 gt card. drivers a
Frogboy said he changed the super healing potion (the 80 point one i beleive) to be a restoration potion for the next patch (1.1 or so) so that the ai could take advantage of this as well as the player.
did you say summon pony ?
conclave cities get a choice at level 3 cities to add a point of essence. edit: [e digicons]:ninja:[/e] yes, it is oracle.
think of it as having one tankier mid game unit or two less tanky mid game units in an army stack.
lets say the base tile tield on fertile ground is 2/2. Then it checks the hidden numbers (which would be decimal points) to figure out if there is enough essence to add one point. world resources add more to tiles: these are approximations off the top of my head. shards bump essence up to 2. rivers add 1 grain clay adds 1 materials iron adds 2 forest adds 1 grain, orchard, apiary add 2 &n
there are many ways to play guys. In my current game i'm playing with a variation of procipinee and resoln. I like high magic game so i have henchmen, with no questing to boost them them. Instead i have decalon to boost their casting ability while i use binding to create elementals to tank for me since i have the no armour weakness. It's kind of like using 40k eldar tactics - powerful units, low resilience. i settled my first town, then i found two or
i think the concept will work, but the way you i,plemeneted it will need to be tweaked. I'm just thinking this through without looking at the code atm, but the code for the potions seem more in line with what you want. Take the fire blast potion for example, just add in some cooldown option so the affected unit can "breath fire" several times during the battle. I'm currently pulling the code apart so i can pull together effects like this in order t
Nicely written. Thank you.
One of the options for your conclave city (the magic and research specialized city) at level three is to add an essence to the city. the other two are increases in research ability while idle with the third option for lesser research bonus with scrolls available. EDIT: You don't need essence to choose to make your settlement into conclave at level 2
i want firebreathingsabretoothedvorpaltyransaurusphaseblinkgiantspacehamsters.
I used to be an adventurer, unitl i took an arrow to the knee.
axes are good if your falling behind in tech a bit and you need the extra chance to hit, otherwise, meh. mind you, the fire bonus on the fire axes are nice. the hunting short sword irritates me. it arrives too late on the magic tree to be useful.
A bolt of night strikes the victim doing 4 (+1 per level) damage and reducing their Spell Resistance by 5 &nb
They are there to serve as a distraction for the rest of your army. You have an archer or mage in the back slinging damage and the golem running interception. I can them having a greater bashing effect or knockback, some kind of stun effect. Overpower isn't in the theme of the protecting golem. Your absolutely right that a powerfuk group of soldiers has more damage potential, but your paying on average 100 crystal and 200 metal for that group, even more for fu
I've made a custom gilden faction that uses one handed spear from kraxis. Golems are very deadly with spears. They tank hard and deal a decent hit since it ignores armour. also, you can use megic rings and charms to boost their damage. They are a great mid game tool. alternativley, give them a lightning hammer or a sword and they will hurt things.
OOooOO looks like its worth making some life death hybrid spells afterall :P
procipinee used to be really buff because of her crown when regeneration was usable in tactical, i think its loss hurt her the most
There do seem to be a few tiles that appear and dissapear now and then, not sure to the full extent this happens. On top of that, some land simply isn't fertile to begin with.
followed by ...tuidjy, start posting goofy errors to put brad off his stride...
actually, i don't think this suggestion came up in the beta. I'm looking at the idea of the sov/champ/henchman (sion?) have a stat for carrying no weapon. In the case of spellcasting units, it would be relevant too.
mind you, caravans beelining through the badlands and thumbing their noses at the really big bosses are a bit much. There is no inner game logic to this.
