The Light Plate skill

It seems like a good skill and costs nothing to take. Any reason not to take it on a custom faction?

Light plate is heavier than chainmail and takes more metal to build. It's more of a preference thing than anything else, more defence, but at higher cost and weight.

think of it as having one tankier mid game unit or

two less tanky mid game units in an army stack.
