This would also explain why it is possible for an AI player to raze a city without waiting 5 turns - because it doesn't get stopped by the UI block that players have until 5 turns after.
This ONE. RIght here. This one could Explain a lot. if it's the UI that is supposed to regulate the rules of the game, somehow the ai is bypassing it - allowing it to do all sorts of weird things.

So if you only had 1st tier equipment, not very many trained troops, 200 mana saved up with 4 generating every turn, you have 3 or 4 cities, you think your winning the game (up until now you've had the highest power faction) and then suddenly, bam there's ythril. 1000 TIMES your power level. How did he get so high? (oh there's his nine stack of only juggernauts.... zzzz) and your facing waves of these evrery turn. Guess i'll just restart the game. assum

The problem with what you are suggesting is that it makes it difficult to make custom factions if every special ability gets locked together with a specific weakness/ skill combination. EDIT: However, what we are starting to see is the evolution of the faction creater system. They are starting to divide abilities into major ones worth 2 picks, and minor one worth 1 pick. since you get 3 picks, with an option for a 4th if you take a weakness, then you get combine&n

i dont think razing it would do anyting - I can only imagine the way to change your capital city is to raze all your cities and settle a new capital - does that work ???

The way it currently works is this. When you design your unit you can pick the items, weapons and armour. For weapons and armourm you can click on the weapon you want, or you can click on the green arrow pointing upwards at the end of the line in a category. Only things you click on the green arrow will be upgradeable when you press the upgrade armour or upgrade weapons button. So if i click on the leather helmet, the green arrow on the breastplate (the top one,

I see no reason it would not be possible: game logic would go along the lines of monsters wanders in random direction, if steps on outpost/monolith then destroy it and spawn lair.

im currently playing on hard ai hard world, dense monsters, large map, extra wildlands, more random events.

welcome to the brokenness that is pariden. Ai's can't play it too well atm. Splash in henchmen and you can churn out vicous spellcasting heroes on demand.

I partly think your missing the point. If your not preparing for it in advance, and they suddenly show up on your doorstep, first in ones, then a few turns later in twos, then fours, then suddenly waves and waves of them come at you - you simply don't have time to change your tactics to deal with them. If you invest most of your tech into civ, and a magic, with no crystal to be had, you're in trouble - and the first bows you unlock with tech are not going

have you tried running the game in administrator mode? edit: if this solves your problem then it appears to be a windows bug, not a game bug, hence no error message.

I have a question about fog of war, and i can't think of a way to test it. it's like shroedinger's cat, it needs dev help to look at it. Let's say the monsters have limited field of view based on who is around them. My understaanding is that it originally was based on what the player could see, so the ai had a certain stealth bug. This was fixed in the manner that the ai field of view was added to monster's vision so the monsters could see ai equally well as
