Good ideas! =)
I wondered where my save games got to. Thanks to my virus scanner for finding where the FE save games were. =)
Great idea! And simple to implement. =)
Well you could always call it cancer treatment...
Maybe you wanted random opponents? I'd like that option too. Now if only the savegames didn't mention all the sides still in the game...
unacomn, you could say that it's cancer, but they might ask how can you still play computer games. ;-) :P
Maybe once on the Path of the Governor you would only get Government-related (and perhaps the odd General-related) traits to choose from?
I like this idea! If not possible now, I'd love for it to be made possible later (but not too much later =)).
Derek, would you be able to track the bug reports in FE Beta until most people have changed over? Otherwise, you'll miss an awful amount of bugs data, since as far as I can see almost all bugs have been reported in FE Beta forum.
I'd agree with a % based healing too. But it needs to be costed well enough. If you can heal 75% of your unit's damage every heal, it might be pretty hard to kill it.
Where exactly do they get born? Elemental Hospital for Monsters or Misunderstood Types? ;-) :P
It may be to do with the threading. Maybe the multi-threading isn't finished and it crashes that way, so perhaps the game should not allow ending turn again for the five seconds or so it needs to finish what the AI is doing. Definitely crash logs will help a great deal.
I like the OP's ideas.
I like these ideas, and think they would be worth trying out in the beta.
I agree. I think that if partial code is in already for dynasties, and we have even been given a way to see dynasties by changing an option, I think it could work without too much trouble, with an idea like Vieuxchat's.
But having the full unassisted AI in difficulty levels normal and above is an option for the first patch. Whatever the AI we've got at a certain time, we've got to have a mode where the AI is playing the best it can at that time, without any bonuses. So we have a baseline, and we can hopefully help the unassisted AI gets better.
I think the items that have no materials cost currently should be given some cost, even if it is only 5.
Seems like there is lot of support for seeing the unassisted full AI without bonuses, so we can test it and hopefully help the devs improve it for the release.
I totally agree. Could you put it in the first patch to try it out? I think it would make a big difference to balance out heroes so you can't get full XP just be surviving a battle. Balance and simplicity are important. Balance by not giving full XP to all surviving winning units, and simplicity by simpling dividing the experience between all surviving winning units, so it's easy to understand and still allows units to get some experience for participating in a
I think it must be because it is cancelled or something when it is loaded. I think that the new turn actually starts *before* the AI attacks you.
What I would like is the best, unaided (except perhaps from luck tweaks) on Normal Difficulty. If there are going to be any cut-down AIs, they should be reserved for difficulties lower than Normal Difficulty. The AI opponents should always press an advantage, and not leave an unguarded or weak city or output without attacking it. With regards to AI monsters, if they are encompassed in the player's territory they should attack mercilessly if they believe a city is weakly
This is what Frogboy said about reloading save games and starting new games after starting the game for the first time: Frogboy's post If it applies to saving too, it even more needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
