Looks like it's up a bit early. =) Full beta and patch are available from my Stardock Store products page, maybe it's available for others?

I guess Stardock can't be perfect and get the email to everyone. =) ;-)
Contact [email protected] if you pre-ordered from a non-Stardock source and you don't get access to the beta on your Stardock Store page. I'm presuming that the second round includes those copies bought elsewhere, but I am not 100% sure, so don't quote me (or at least use the whole quote ;-) :P).
For updates from 0.75 - 0.76, where will we get the patch? I assume we won't have to download 2Gig every time there is a version upgrade?

Mine too. Still next time you won't be unprepared, and hopefully you'll remember most of the important stuff for your rewrite. =)
Frogboy said they put in a lot of infrastructure for pitboss-style MP for future FE. Check out pitboss for Civ4 (not sure if Civ5 has it) if you want information on it. Basically everyone logs into a server when it is their turn and has their turn (I think if it is not your turn you can still check out your empire). I'm not sure how it would work for tactical battles - maybe two players would have to get together so their battle doesn't take ages, or maybe not.
Post deleted.
Although even if you take that out of it, you can still have the AI losing with heroes and getting 2-3 beefed-up injuries and essentially being useless. After all, they can never "save and reload".
I like those ideas!
I think it is better to write the text in a text file and then copy it into the forum posting page. It is especially good if you have a program with autosave. =)
I would go as far to say the current AI on Ridiculous is so hard to beat that it well might completely impossible (without exploiting the "AI players won't attack a city the turn after your reloaded save is" bug, but even that only helps so much).
When writing text, you need to save it regularly, and preferably use multiple files.
That is a good point. =)
Damage is only "unmitigated" attack. There is a dice roll for attack and defense, up to the maximum attack or defense (weighted a bit I think) and damage is Attack Roll - Defense Roll, or 0 if Dodge roll > Accuracy Roll, which is also up to maximum dodge or accuracy (not sure about the case where dodge roll = accuracy roll).
Unless you drink a potion of restoration. =) ;-) Although these should be *very* rare.
Oh, yeah that's the same bug. But definitely the "if movement greater than 2, downgrade to 2" has just gotta go! =) Did any of the troops in the city have only 2 movement?
I would also agree with making heroes hireable from cities or buildings in those cities, subject to balanced criteria, costs, appearance and powers. Techs could still be used as a means to attract higher level heroes.
Yeah, there is a bug where the AI uses your designs, and even your own colours! However, the colours thing should change, and AI players should not use unit designs designed for another faction.
It seems the game is a lot more likely to crash when there is lots of stuff, later in the game. Note this is the slipstream version I have been using. Crash zip attached. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8710134/FallenEnchantress0_75-2012-01-26T16-56-42-983.zip
Yeah, when the map is advanced and there are lots of cities an armies, the game seems to hang a lot more.
You make a good point.
If a stack has more than 2 movement when a game is saved, when loading the game it always gets downgraded to 2. I think it is about time this bug was squashed, don't you? =)
AFAIK, it will be coming out when the new beta participants will be allowed in, ie. 3pm EST. But Stardock can correct me if I'm wrong. =)
