Best AI on Normal Difficulty

What I would like is the best, unaided (except perhaps from luck tweaks) on Normal Difficulty.  If there are going to be any cut-down AIs, they should be reserved for difficulties lower than Normal Difficulty.  The AI opponents should always press an advantage, and not leave an unguarded or weak city or output without attacking it.  With regards to AI monsters, if they are encompassed in the player's territory they should attack mercilessly if they believe a city is weakly defended.

Yep, the AI was the only reason i started playing FE on hard. I like a very good AI and think a weaker AI is boring, but hard means that the enemy stats are increased, too, and that part should be another difficulty setting.

Agreed, make a level that has the best AI possible without resource bonuses.

I would prefer they have AI difficulty sliders. One for intelligence, 1 for stats, 1 for econ.

If you want to play against the AI at its strongest and still be fair (in that it isn't exactly cheating) play on Challenging. The AI is better and only gains a slight HP bonus, which imo is fine. The AI should be given an advantage to make up for the fact that it can not as of yet, think outside of the box. I place a mountain on a choke point and that is pretty much game. I can take all the time in the world to econ up and launch the steamroll when I am ready. That is on the same order of fair to the AI as the AI being able to see everything on the map is to us. I find the best way to play is to avoid the cheese.

Yes goods to see more posts on the crippled AI, fyi there is a post already about the AI here. Perhaps the more we can bump it and threads like this one, the more stardock will see it as a definite concern to be fixed.
