https://www.dropbox.com/s/6p86e5drsjud4si/No%20Start%20Bug%202.EleSav This bug has been reported before but here is a turn one save that you can use to perhaps figure out what went wrong. Hopefully the fact that its reproducible on turn 1 will help you out. You can see that oracle ceresa in the top left corner of the map will not settle a city, and the rest of the

Yeah I hope there is a way to turn off suppression fire animations. My main concern is that you cannot do partial moves which really limits your ability to do tactical planning. In the original if you spotted an enemy mid move you could stop and run behind cover or fire off some shots. Now that time units are gone its really easy to waste your turn because you didn't know something was in the shadows. I think this is the main reason its hard to keep your soldi
Yeah my suggestion would be to make champion wages go up by 0.5/level or something like that to make it so units aren't prohibitively expensive. A unit of 3 militia should probably cost less than a champion in wages (less than 1 gold/turn) since a champion is way better. Unit wages should also go up slightly (maybe 5% or 10% per level) so that a level 10 militia with 100+ hitpoints costs more in wages than a level 1 with 30 hit points. They could also m
I do focus on economy... just not gildar economy. My research is as high as it could possibly be, and since the AI don't actually create cities until around turn 30 anyways, its easy to catch up. And I meant I build my first NEW city later in the game, of course I build my first city on turn one or two. Its more efficient to increase your production early on, and then come back later with buildings that give you resources.
I never really make it to "late game" I think i won the last game before turn 100. Challenging, Medium/Normal every setting except pacing set to fast. I choose a custom faction that is really strong, Enchanters is my main pick but I also like to get scholars for the research bonus. I pick scholar on my sovereign too as well as a bunch of perks, not so many spells since they raised the price to 2. Basically I recruit heroes e
Listening to your ideas about listing whether or not you can escape from combat... i just realized that for new players it would help greatly if you started every game with one escape scroll just in case they mess up so they don't have to reload or something.
maybe i'll make a mod that adds in all the riddle chests from Betrayal at Krondor into the game, perhaps protecting some of the better loot drops. Not sure if that will be possible though, I would want you to be able to come back later if you can't figure out the riddle just yet. I also want quests to be multiplayer compatible... a.k.a. if a player doesn't finish a quest another player can come along and do the quest. Not sure if thats possible right now. I
I suggest you tie random events to forum posts so that the more people complain the more monsters harass them in-game.
This is a bug thats been around for a long time. Its low priority since none of the pre-made sovereigns have this ability, but it will probably be fixed by the next major beta version.
Also, there should be a Red exclamation or X or some other icon on the minimap until the end of turn whenever something gets razed.
Yes I also would like this feature. Same for editing custom races.
They don't have a life stealing attack, rather they gain new figures when they kill a unit. So what you are seeing is intended unless I am understanding you wrong.
My assumption is that if the outpost is far away from your city its harder to defend. Large empires should be easy to poke and prod while smaller compact nations should be fairly safe from minor assaults. Perhaps things could be balanced to enhance that dynamic rather than simply apply a numeric penalty for not having lots of cities (which is already not a good thing in this version).
You could always make it 1 + 1 / Essence if you want it to be a little stronger for low essence cities but not scale in a powerful way. I think its fine at 1/essence though.
You made such a big deal in the video about us criticizing your gameplay so I thought I would say things I would otherwise keep to myself: 1) You should have cast inspiration on your first city. It would have made research go way faster and "paid for itself" by letting you get construction and other techs much faster. 2) You should have built on the 2/4 spot so that you could pump out pioneers and early buildings even faster, which is really important in the ear
Save game corruption should be fixed! Hurray. I haven't been able to do meaningful feedback since I could only play against one opponent safely.
I think that it should only effect monsters on the overworld (strategic) map.
I don't mind that the cities get destroyed, I thought it was silly that they just disappeared in the previous version. The main benefit of having factions surrender is A ) they get out of your hair and B ) you get free prestige! Awesome! You can even get powerful faction abilities like -50% unit wages from having an extra sovereign. You still have the option of taking the cities if you want, but I like the ability to have them destroy everything.
One way to balance essence would be to multiply negative enchantments as well as positive... I think its a cool idea... what about you guys?
I've never seen or heard of such a thing, but I am not an expert on FE... Are you sure you aren't confusing them for dragons... there are dragon lairs you can capture on some maps. Other than that theres Knights, Wildlings, Darklings, Ogres and Trolls that you can recruit...
Value shouldn't change from what I can tell. The only thing that should change is the +2 Fire power if I am understanding things correctly. If you wanted to add more mana the PerTurn would change I think.
I think its confusing because of the notation +1 Shard -> +1 Shard +1 Mana -> +2 Mana Unless you don't closely look at it you wont realize that only the mana is going up.
Well you can double check by either hovering over your income if the list isn't too long or by looking at the diplomacy screen I think. Maybe they fixed it in this version but that happened to me in the first ever game I played. He gave me a huge amount like 700 gildar but then I realized I was giving him 20% of my income or something like that.
You fell for the tribute scam with Magnar in episode 9. They give you money up front in exchange for you giving them a portion or your income per turn. You should cancel that deal if you haven't already.
Yeah my experience is on challenging where the AI doesn't cheat (supposedly... it certainly seems to cheat in small ways at least)
