I've seen this as well, odd how it crashes minute or so after you exit the game!

What's the difference between the campaign mode and the sand box mode we've seen the the Beta's?
There should be a building/tech that allows units to train/upgrade, other wize you just end up disbanding/deleting old unit types, which seems like a waste. Gameplay - Build peasants - Build foot soldiers - (disband/delete pesants) - Build basic knight - (disband/delete foot soldiers) wash, rinse, repeat!!! I was told before units don't gain experience, only champions, too bad, I would have liked to
Agree the Magic should be broken down by area of magic. Book of Earth Magic - spell 1 - spell 2 etc. Book of Air Magic - spell 1 - spell 2 etc. In game when you look at a magic user you can't even tell what books of magic they have.
How the spell book is not broken down by magic types? Book of Earth Magic - Spell 1 - Spell 2 etc. Book of Water Macic - Spell 1 - Spell 2 etc.
One thing the game doesn't have is religion, I really like the way Empire of the Fading Suns, tried to handle this, each religion would ban technology (tied to buildings) and if you build it, they would send the equivalent of the Spanish Inquisition to your city and destroy the buildings. Early on Religion was a very powerful force and if you tried to interfere with them burning down your buildings they would declare war on you. If you befriend a religion (pay them lots of mone
The big issue with tech trading is always the AI, if all of the AI's start trading tech between themselves then the player doesn't have a chance. I say make it an option, so players can decide from themselves once the game is released.
I've never known or heard of a case where someone got stoned on pot went home to get a gun, then went back to kill some one, yet stories just like that one, seem to happen with alcohol. Some people just turn into mean drunks after a few drinks. Something like 96% of all spouse abuse involves alcohol. Then again, if Domino's or Pizzahut where ever allowed to deliver weed with pizza, the world as we know it, might come to a complete end! If you think people are lazy now, just wait until
The beta's are a debug version that writes out all sort of stuff to the debug.err and generates dump/zip files, these slow things down, that said the game gets pretty sluggish around turn 300 or so.
I would like to see the AI randomly pick one of the four areas of conquest, for each game restart, this would really add replay value because the AI would have a different goal in each game. In too many games the AI is either a single script or only has a single goal so it does the same thing in each in every game.
This year in computer gaming seems to be nothing more than release of the clones and expansion packs, this is one of the few original games this year, the only other one I can think of is Distant Worlds.
I like option A - Can't Build Unit. Why, because I don't want to end up with ten different versions of the same unit and I want the constant reminder that I need to find or get that resource back!
Good Idea, I've done the same thing my self.
If you want GUILDS go play GUILD WARS online. ) hehe
No thanks, just another MMO for 5 year olds!
I don't see guilds any more in the tech tree, gone or just disabled? I liked them and the unique units they provided, not sure what they were good for.
Beta 3C V92 Bugs 1. Tactical combat sometimes gets stuck in loop, (Miss, 5) again and again during. 2. Research Breakthrough Screen - Arcane Mastery, Abby of Izil is shown twice. 3. The game becomes very sluggish after turn 300. Game Play 1. Sovereign can't use Solider Cloak? Would be nice to know this before purchasing, how about only show equipment the selected character can use when in a st
I get this each time in tactical combat. If you clink on the kingdom button it will exit tactical combat.
pad152, does it only happen at startup, or does it happen during the game as well?
This was happening in game, about every 40 turns or so with version .91, version .92 fixed it.
The game always writes a debug.err file. If nothing else, that may be useful.
The issues I had were with 3C version 91, when I update to version 92 the file was wiped out. I'll try out the new version tonight.
Not sure about duel wielding and the Action point system but, would like to have archers able to have a second weapon and be able to change weapons during tactical combat.
Sorry to say but Beta 3-C is the buggiest version yet, the game just doesn't crash, just locks up my PC, requiring a power off/on reset.
Game hangs, can't Alt-Tab, can't Alt-Tab-Del, can't Escape, completely locks up PC, have to hit the power switch. No dump/zip file Well, looks like I'm going to have to give up on this one, after three restarts, the game just locks up my PC after 30 or so turns.
The biggest issue I have with Tactical Combat is, I don't know how many attack or moves each character has. I like the idea of action points Action Points - used to move, attack or save some for a counter attack. Example: 5 AC AC costs 2 AC to Attack (Weapon, Spell, or Ranged Weapon) (maybe each weapon or spell could have it's own AC rating) 2 AC to counter Attack 1 AC to move one hex (maybe different creatu
I've had other Kingdom's influence take over resources inside my kingdom, so you need to maintain influence for your own cities or else. I like it, more ways to win/lose, using influence to take over other kingdom's resources.
Yea, Dragons are a wee bit over sized, can't wait to see them once they implement Flying and Fire attacks.
