I've seen this come up in the forums, and I anticipate it coming up in my conversations with friends and family... Are there any plans to allow newcomers to pre-order FE and join the beta?

Nice write-up! I hadn't heard of this game. Your skillfully crafted rave told me all the things I wanted to know. Thank you.
LoL I've jokingly pondered that while awaiting the final book of the Wheel of Time series. Will it arrive before the Mayan calendar ends!?! Or before the radical oligarchs rip our world apart with their imperialistic and fascist aims?!? I read the first book upon first printing, 21 years ago. I've gotten every followin
MOM was one of my first games from GOG.com. I got MOM cuz WOM players kept talking about it. Same with AOW. I like MOM well enough, but I found it lacking in city building depth, so I haven't spent much time with it. I got totally addicted to the AOW games though. And still eagerly anticipate playing some new mods. I very much like AOWs tactical combat. Especially how movements on the hexagonal world map, impact positioning on the tactical map. And how you can
Hehe I feel your excitement. But don't worry, it seems there are so many emails in need of sending, that the pipeline can't handle the load all at once. It's like people assembled outside a Colosseum. Only so many can enter at any given time. Be patient, the queue moves steadily forward :~)
There is an insanely large amount of emails that have to go out, and it takes quite a bit of time for them to proce

I was one who was vocally disappointed that your studio changed focus from WOM to FE. But I was a clear minority, and so accepted the communities desire to
I wonder if those who are extremely displeased by the lack of MP, would be willing to accept tactical battles that were Auto-Resolve Only? I'm guessing that's where the biggest hangup is. But that one alone opens the door to more potential problems. For instance: Auto-Resolve Only, would impact the tech and magic trees. What things lose their relevance, what things must be cut, what needs special balancing, and more. I think SD already has enough on their plate getting th
i am a multiplayer only gamer...
I enjoy a little 4X TBS MP. Civ4 MP was good I thought. Alot of fun was had with it. Pitboss worked well enough, though not ideal. And OverloadUTs CivStats utility mod was a huge help. But the overwhelming majority of my games are SP. And from ten years of following the CivFanatics forums, I think it quite clear that the majority of c
It may be awhile before I'm in the market for a new PC, but I'll definitively include Alien Ware in the consideration list now. I'm using a Small Form Factor. I've grown accustomed to the sleekness of the smaller case. Is good to see a "dedicated gaming rig" built within one.
He looks to be the result of dynastic breeding between the Altar and Urxen .
Elemental is definitively starting to come to life. Lots of personality this version has. A diverse world to become immersed in. Much roleplay fodder. So cool!
Nice! I've lost count on the number of interesting tactical maps you've teased us with. Is nice to see such variety. I can't wait to become immersed in the world of Elemental. Much personality in this version! Thanks for keeping with it!
Manual patching, as in the User chooses when and If to patch. Unlike steam which forces it. Though it should be said that Beta releases, will likely require internet connectivity, and would be auto-patched.
I might be thinking too micro, and I am only thinking about the content of the new site; but updates as the "Coming Soon" sections are completed, appeal to me. And for the purpose of fostering a social media buzz, I think sporadic updates over the next few days would be helpful. For my part, I keep checking back to see if the Coming Soon sections are complete, or if any new info has been added to the new site.
I'm one who is quite happy that we humans have the freedom to customize our units and factions as we will. And I am extremely happy that the AI players will have some uniqueness about them. I don't see the problem with humans being able to mix and match unit traits to create their own devious designs. If you are a purist, then don't tweak your units. Simple. Leave the rest of us to enjoy the diversity of unit creation.
Just a thought Island Dog... How about sending out a twitter alert as you add content to the "Coming Soon" sections? (also add a posting to the forums and facebook). I'm getting excited about this pre-beta launch buzz. I imagine I'm not alone. It could be good to foster that energy by posting alerts that new info has "just" been added.
@Pantasd: I think those are just the common 'research-able' spells. Many more spells await your discovery in-game. To quote Brad... "insane number of magical spells" ... "Because magic is really a game by game thing, you won’t see most of these spells in any particular game." Check this thread for a couple screenshot teasers of the massive spell list. EDIT: An extrapolated guess fr
Is nice Dog! A good look, with relevant info readily accessible. Is Win. I found some interesting kernels of info. Such as the existence of blunt, pierce, and slash damage. I look forward to learning more about the tactical considerations of this. And much more..
This screen is priceless. And in a literal cents to boot. :~)
My fans also get a serious workout with E:WOM, and that's with the graphics tuned down. I've been playing the game alot lately, thanks in part to Heavenfalls triad of v1.4 mods. I've actually been playing only E:WOM for a couple weeks now. This despite competition from more than a dozen "new" oldies recently acquired via GOG.com. E:WOMs been fun lately. I look forward to E:FE now that I think my 5 year old GPU can run it :~)
Differentiated factions are teh win!
Is it true that any GPU which supports DirectX 9.0c or better, will support Pixel Shader 3? I found this DirectX vs Pixel Shader info while googling... https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4360-TPJL-2065

No. No way Gimp does what Ps does.
Sounds like your talking about PhotoShop. Elana was talking about Photoscape. I point this out cuz I'm also curious in learning what PhotoShop has that GIMP doesn't.
Good Old Games a digital distributor of DRM Free PC games, just ended a huge holiday giveway. They gave out hundreds of games; two of which found their way to me :~) But don't despair, you too can get a free game. Everyone can! Empire Earth Gold is free for everyone until December 14th at 10:59 GMT. Thats in addition to the other 6 games wh
