Currently only the latest game releases are available for download. I'd think E:WOM be a priority seeing as how the whole gamestop thing went down while E:WOM was still undergoing game stability fixes. ie: E:WOM was purchased under a very different privacy policy and terms of service tha

Very nice, Thank You!! I was very happy to try out the latest version of E:WOM today. But cannot re-download this game from Stardocks Store. It is listed as being owned by me. But the only option is to purchase it. And following those links brings me to gamestop pages. In my excitement over Stardocks new store, I nearly made an impulsive buy of GalCiv2 and Object Desktop. But the moment passed without transaction upon seeing Stardock products still linking to gamesto
Quoting Heavenfall, reply 4Nope... if people don't like FE, it's going to be the last game they make. Yes, if EFE is not successful then Derek will be fired so he can begin work on his own Fall From Heaven mod for Civ V. Jon Shafer will be fired and he will go back to Firaxis to start working on Civ VI. The cool thing about Civ VI is that it will use tetrahedrons instead of hexes. [/quot
Bummer I've got 256MB (Radeon HD 2400 Pro). Hard work just isn't paying enough.
Occupy the gaming industry!!!
Opening Post: So for Fallen Enchantress, I asked Charles to set up a cheat key that would create opposing armies and that it would read from an XML file that I could mod to decide what powers those units would have. The milestone has been reached, the winner announced! Congrats to GOG for selling more than 6 million DRM free games. And congrats to the winner of all those free games! The Broken Sword promo begins now! It is free until October 1, at 7:59 a.m. EDT (11:59 a.m. GMT).
GOG.com a digital distributor of classic PC games, is celebrating it's 6 millionth download by giving away their entire catalog of over 300 games to one lucky gamer. The person who downloads the 6 millionth game wins them all!! You can follow the download counter at GOG.com's homepage . There are less than one thousand downloads remaining for the win! It's about to happen. Good
I really can't figure out why prestige was changed in this patch. It just seems ruined now.
For some time now, it's felt to me like Brads work on E:WOM was more like some dude making a mod, than a developer patching a released game. It's been all over the place. Extremes. Maybe shots in the dark to make something big happen while up against the wall. Is odd to see such extremes when the deadline for final tweaks was so close.<
Stupid is as stupid does. ~ Forrest Gump Gamespys part of the whole Rupert Murdoch empire. Sorta gives the spy in gamespy a whole new relevance eh? I'm sure a spinoff would be great. So long as it was devised by the artists and not the executives. And if it was a spinoff and not the latest release of the core game.
I don't hate EA, I despise them. The way they do their business is over the top. I'm a money seeking, opportunity grabbing capitalist myself. I've entrepreneu'd a variety of ways to earn money over the years. I also create unique art and understand the need to protect IP. So I get the drive to earn and protect. But they've no respect and decency. + they make an otherwise desirable product, undesirable in their "go big or go
I think the point was that we all knew what Brad was talking about anyways.
I don't know what he's talkin about there. The term indicates previously explored terrain that is outside ones line of sight. But the video shows terrain completely hidden .. Which to me looks like unexplored terrain. I don't see the fog of war in that video. Or at least I hope I
WB? World builder? No, thats Civ4. What is WB? I thought I was in a minority who favored minimalization. But from various threads here and elsewhere I am beginning to think that minimal is the new black. The in thing. But my exposure to the masses is limited. I like Google Chromes minimal UI. I like GOG.com's small footprint downloader and minimalized store interface. And other stuff. But now I wonder if minimal is not niche, but rather the future. </
But we expect to have a new, albeit much simpler, digital distribution system for Stardock’s own software and games up and running before the end of the year that you’ll be able to start purchasing, downloading, and updating through. We must warn you, however. It won’t be anywhere near as expansive as Impulse or even Stardock Central. It’ll just be there for making it quick to download and update your stuff. Very un-intrusive.
Thank Y
Yes, please skip the semantics arguments.
It's not semantics, it's mechanics. FOW shrouds a tile that's been previously explored. An unexplored tile isn't fogged, it's just plain unkown. There should be a visual difference between the two. Would be nice to see an illustration that demonstrates any difference. In EWOM I didn't like how explored areas where so heavily fogged. I'd like to see the
Lol, so from O"bummer back to E: Wamp ;~p It's all relative right?! Or did we diverge from the wide open OP of why Brad has been so happy lately? He has said, as I'm sure many of us had guessed, that Brad is stocked because E:FE is shaping up to be more like he'd hoped E:WOM would be. Must be nice to be looking on brilliant management from the top down. It's gotta invoke all sorts of wa

I was taking pictures to craft into an avatar. I posed Link ( from The Legend of Zelda fame ) to fight a dragon ( his arch nemesis Ganon ). My inquisitive feline friend came to see what all the fuss was about. I never did get a good avy pic. But from the attempt something else was borne... <

I'm just now coming off a break from Civ4's Fall from Heaven Mod . Will resume it later this eve. Prior to getting back to Civ, I spent two months mostly focused on Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic . I downloaded some mods and a nifty fan patch so I'm anxious to get back to it soon. Prior to all that I was playing a disjointed mix of <st
Wow, just WOW! On paper this is sounding very close to my ideal game. With proper Mod access, it may obsolete my Civ4 install. Which is huge from my point of view. It all sounds great. Some suggestions: I like your approach to the so called city spam problem. It's nice to have options to choose, decisions to make, and workarounds to devise. But it seems odd that a powerful
Nice! Thank you! I'm looking forward to checking out the E:WOM updates. Does this apply only to updates, or can we also buy Stardock product? Will we be able to buy GalCiv2 directly from you? What about games from other developers that Stardock has published, and may publish in the future? And especially, what about E:FE - Can we get it from you? These questions have been asked before. Only vague answers have been given. I acc
