I like the idea of forts as well. I think they'd be justified simply for the RP fun factor. Forts and Castles are just plain cool! I'd very much like to see a Civ total conversion mod! And a Mod based on the Dune books. If the mod was based on the Empire rather than on Arrakis itself, it would be interesting to use the Dynasty feature to portray the Bene Gesserit breeding program. Perhaps it would even be possible to mod in a Dynasty Victory Condition for the breeding of a Kwisatz Haderach? A mod focusing on just the planet Arrakis would be interesting as well. Add yet another dedicated Civer to the "won't get Civ5 due to steam" list. Civ provided near all of my gaming needs. I've just a handful of other games, and rarely play them. Civ + M ods provided what I needed. I haven't bought a game since Civ4:BTS and didn't plan on buying any games outside of the Civ series.
