I remember M.U.L.E.! I didn't play it much. Mostly watched. I didn't know it at the time, but that stingy friend wasn't stingy afterall. He was however, afflicted with one more turn syndrome :~p That was back in the days when I took a BASIC programing intro in high school. That gave me portal to play Castle Wolfiestein and others, on a classroom Apple IIe. What an era that was!

It's tough to track down who started what. One author creates something which inspires another, who then writes something which inspires a third, who then writes something.. From development philosophy to the mod tools and numerous things in between. Elemental fills the bill +. It's already more than I would've hoped for. Release day is just a beginning. Thanks Frogboy for giving up

I know. I've read through this thread in its entirety because I too was frustrated over the blasted booms and wanted to see what was going on. I saw that Stardock staff was aware of the problem and they reported that they were running down some leads while waiting for the fix it guy to come back from vacation. Clearly they acknowledged it. Then people started talking about the slow downs this weekend. I believe Jafo replied to that. [Read "accessing the f

Is nice you take fun days to tweak around with things just cause you can! I'm a fan of monster spawning. Would like to see different types of creatures on different terrain. Out of the mountains come the Rock Trolls and Stone Giants; Balrogs and Lava Sprites from the volcanoes; Sea Serpents and Kraken from the sea; Shades and Demon Frogs outta the swamps; etc. Some terrain of like types being more dangerous than others ( haunted forests, infested

Yeah, the naming of units would be nice. I had fun with that in Civ4. The naming of locations ( displayed on the cloth map ) would be nice as well.

Except for Dragonball Z and a few other selected Anime choices...those kick ass. [/quote]Hmm, maybe you'd like a mod that pits kiddy toons versus adult anime. The cute and cuddlies vs the dark and destructive.

Any takers for an Æon Flux mod? I think it would be bad ass! " That which does not kill us, makes us strAnger. " ~ Chairman Goodchild " Ready for the action now, danger boy ?" ~ Aeon Flux A <span style="font-family: impact, chicago; color: #999999; font-size: mediu

LoL, I think I'd pass on Smurf Smut. Although a Smurf mod might actually be fun from time to time. The saturday afternoon version of happy blue Smurfs versus Smurfs gone wild. Red light districs and spring break parties for the hedonists; while parks and potlucks for the ascetics.

Elemental: War of Magic totally trumps my must get list! Civ5 was HUGE for me until steam ( and 2k ) completely killed it. Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 interest me, but I'd wait for the complete editions in the coming years. With Chess and Poker aside, one 4x TBS game + a multitude of mods, generally takes care of my gaming impulses. For the most part, I am a one title

Oh, I'd probably pass on a My Little Pony vs GI Joe mod. Or anything featuring the Care Bears or Cabbage Patch Kids. Can't think of much else beyond that.

Hehe I'm new to HTML so I don't exactly know what I'm asking for. Just looking for more posting options to better present info. Tables and rows and cells and spans and such interest me. Is good to know that we have those options!

It would be very nice to play in the world of Robert Jordans: Wheel of Time !! WOT is epic adventure on the grand scale. Its my personal favorite. Book 12 Towers of Midnight is set to come out this fall ( whohooo WOT and EWoM will make this a fine winter indeed ). With the final book, A Memory of Light coming late next year. Its gonna take time and creativity to

Apologies for the guadruple posting. Thanks TCores . I've looked for a posting guide but haven't found one. Is there any info available on what HTML tags will work? If not I may open a thread in the OT forum to test them out. I tried to learn from quoting a post which uses the extra

Thanks for the suggestions folks! Notepad++ it is. Thanks to the power of YouTube, and the goodwill of numerous contributors, I got a good demo of it. Was impressed by its simplicity coupled with a wide range of capabilities. And the idea of open source collaboration just makes me happy. I hadn't known that all those scripting languages would be supported under one roof. Among that list; XML, Python, HTML, Java and Javascript are things I've

Having been inspired by Frogboy's recent modding videos; I've come to the conclusion that I really need an XML Editor. MS Notepad worked for some limited Civ4 and TripleA tweaks, but it is apparent that I really need an editor. I've looked around a little and checked out CNET's offerings; but have no clue as to what criteria I should be looking for. I can't afford to buy one at the mom
