[quote quoting="post"] #2 The UI requires far too many steps to do stuff. It just needs a lot of love still. [/quote] Here's an idea to possibly make spell casting more efficient.

[quote quoting="post"]I am pleased to say that tactical battles are pretty decent, though visually buggy (it’s very difficult to choreograph all the animations and strikes in an interesting way). We can do idle animations great and we have a lot of great animations. It’s the fighting choreographing that we’re sucking at. We want battles to look good but believe it or not, this turns out to be very very hard if you want to have any sort of complexity.

What I most want from the first expansion? The full mod meal deal!! Not that I can take full advantage of it atm. But I'm raring for it! And Elemental, beyond any other game engine, provides the optimum training ground. More bang for the buck and all that. I want to tweak stuff just for the heck of it. The UI and script triggers have my greatest interest right now. So I hope that all that stuff is available for our

[quote who="Austinvn" reply="1" id="2682876"]So, in the name of realism, there should be a chance of having a child only when spouse and sovereign are in the same tile (pubs and theatres would add to this chance, naturally).[/quote]Agreed! And I think it would add another interesting branch to the decision tree. If you want to found a dynasty, stay at home with your mate for awhile.

Yeah, and I'm glad to see more TBS games doing it. And I wish Civ4 had it. I coulda finished my big map games that got MAF' ed . ;~p Was just pointing out that although Civ5 has the Strat View, it still doesn't make the same kind of sense to have figurine swag as it does for Elemental. I still love Civ. I just won't be buying into Civ5 at this time. Perhaps in a few years I'll pick up a complete edition in the bargain bin if its steam free. Or

A figurine makes alot of sense for Elemental because of the Cloth Map play. In cloth map mode, players move figurines around the board . Makes a per fect kind of sense for Elementals swag pack to have the figurine and cloth map combo.. It has significance and meaning. It shoulda remained a special thing. Cheesy Civ5 counterfeits Elementals uniqueness

This old screen-shot got me thinking.... When I look at that pic, I am intuitively compelled to use my mouse to scroll through those top three cards ( moving mouse to left and right ). And it seems natural to click on one of the five card decks, to select which spell group is available for scrolling. <p

I got logged out a number of hours ago. Happened once and I figured it was just something on my end. I'm in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. so it's not a Aussie thing [e digicons][/e] My wild guess is that maybe someone was working on a forum function which logged us out?

Yeah, I shoulda said "knows the frequency of the booms" vs "how infrequent [ they ] have become". Just wanted to point out that Stardock knows precisely the frequency of this event.

The forums have been kind to me of late. No booms and no delays :~) I suppose the network team already knows how infrequent the boomings have become. The logs tell them so.

Heh, Google pointed me here while searching source for another Elemental post I'm writing ( organic flavored monsters ). FfH2's Armageddon Counter, would fit very nicely into EWoM! Allow creatures to rise to a powerful end-game. Give players an opportunity to affect creature growth and power. Increase the decision tree as to how players will deal with creatures. Ignore budd

Imagine it! A bad ass spider boss gets triggered into play. It seeks out a nearby forest and plops its scary ass down. A hoard of little baby spiders are born. They grow/level every N turns + battle. As the spider pop grows, webs become visible on the tree tops (terrain change evident on the maps). Player beware! ...time passes. Spiders begin to emerge from the nest in greater numbers and with increasing strength. Their search for food has emb

Some great ideas! Epic Wins! [e digicons]k1[/e] A living world. Creature evolution. Organic growth. Always a different world, naturally. ?? Creatures level over time + combat. A creature of appropriate level, having meet a series of requirements, rolls for hero mini-boss status ( those who can lead ). Have mini-bosses attract bands that either roam or settle depending on their nature (+ game triggers and RNG rolls</e

[quote quoting="post"]Can we have the fog of war removed once an area has been explored like HOMM? At the very least, leave it clear and visible in the last state we saw it in like Civ. [/quote]I support the OP's "very least" option. I wouldn't want to see the removal of the Fog of War mechanic. But I'd like for the fog over explored_areas to not be so heavy. Thanks for the status report, forum updates, and fixes Bara. In your plans to tweak the BBcode, have you considered adding tags for spoiler boxes, video embedding, tables and cells +? And will you allow for the missing {br /} ?
