Hey. I seek some tactical advice. So when you play the game you start next to some "low level" monster dens which I tend to clear out immediatly. But I've been thinking that you perhaps should let them be and just kill their roaming spawns so you have acces to a easy source of xp (especially for the heroes you get later on in the early game?). Does anybody know the spawn rates for monsters lairs (approx) - I've never seen a den spa

Thank you for the quick answer. I guess it makes the most sense balance-wise as well. And of course you need the horses anyway (if you want the increased mobility) as soon you start building armies...
Hi. Yesterday I started up the beta for Legendary Hereos and I must say that the improvements over previous installments are breathtaking (I never really got going with EWoM or FE, but LH seems very promising). Anyway, I started next to a "wild horses" title and built a stable as quickly as possible. I wanted to increase mobility of my heroes on the campaign map. Then I realized that I could not use my "own" horses to mount my heroes (or at least I could not figure out how to
I like this idea. I have been wondering about why the .... hereos have charisma as it does not seem to do anything (except for the sovereign). This would also (to some degree) justify the passive heroes (researcher, lore master, royalty etc.) if they had slightly higher charisma scores.
Hi there. I just wanted to suggest that the mechanics behind "squads" are altered. Currently a squad is basicly a more powerful kind of a unit with an animation displaying several soldiers. So when you damage the "squad" it still retains all of if attack and defense rating. I would like the squad to be weakened when damaged (some of the soldiers die). Of course some kind of bonus should apply to "squads" compared to a single unit. Instead of summing up the stat a more interest
Hi there. Most suggestions in this thread has probably already been discussed in some way or the other. I have nevertheless choosen to put forward my ideas here for two reasons: 1) perhaps some of my ideas/concerns have not been discussed 2) It never hurts to read through some suggestions two times. Firs off I think the more scarce initial world is a good thing (that is until adventuring techs are researched)! That being said there is a lot of issues with Elemen
The Finalized Technology Tree Civilization, Warfare techs are fairly similar to what they are now except there’s a few more of them.
You guys said something about rare (grey) techs which you would get acces to occasionally if I remember correctly. Are they still in?
Out of memory error, occured after playing continously for approximately 100 turns. In the turns up to the crash the game seemed to become slowed/laggy debug.err: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5227545/debug.err DxDiag: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5227545/DxDiag%2064bit.txt
Hi again. I just wanted to say that you should try to follow the instructions I recieved in the thread I posted a link to above. I am up and running again. Best

Yep I have had this problem since beta 2a (I've never managed to get past the splash screen since then). You should probably move your question to the beta forum. If you want you can post your details in the thread I already created (Stardock officials has answered there and will look through that thread again I am sure). What you want to do is to create a DxDiag file and find the debug.err and upload them to dropbox, pastebin etc. DxDiag: Open your start menu and type dxdiag
^ So I moved all of the files in the directories to new directories. It made no difference unfortunately :(

Thanks for looking into it. Please notify me if I can assist in any way or provide data of any kind Best
Hi there. Like all of the previous betas (except 2a) my elemental never gets past the splash screen. The game just seems to stall and when I finally choose to press ctr+alt+del and dump the process of elemental I am returned to my desktop window but I am not able to terminate the elemental process (so far it has run, not responding, for 10 min). Therefore I am currently not able to provide a debug.err but I will do that as soon as I somehow terminate the process. <
How about recieving the pop-up as a message at the side of the screen (similar to the total war series) and then you can pres the message and have the box pop-up when you see it fit.
Sounds like an Internet firewall issue. The good news is that Beta 4 will be getting rid of this (it's the modding beta) so worst case, you'll be able to play by then. But almost certainly something is keeping you from being able to download the data package. BTW, this is exactly why games that try to use streaming as a form of DRM are in for pain. Imagine this being a shipping game? That's why this sort of system w
Still not able to get past the splash screen. Current version is now Beta-2b
Alright so I found the debug.err file but I have nowhere to upload it (as I remember that we should not upload it to sites like rapidshare etc). It is only 4 kb, is it possible that I can mail to some of you guys at stardock? As noted in the sticky, you can post it via pastebin or dropbox (or any site that allows it to be viewed directly without limits, timers, or speedbumps).
Thanks, I will upload it tomorrow.
Quoting kryo, reply 4There were some server issues over Saturday night-Sunday morning. Does it work now? kyro The main issue is the Beta splash screen can't be alt-tabed or minimized and hides Windows/ZoneAlarm/etc. messages behind it! I've gone through this myself with each new release. If you change the prefs.ini to windowed mode set (Fullscreen=0) you will see why the game won't start!
I think i'm having the exact same problem (just without the info about being unable to retrieve the data file). But at the moment I never get past the splash screen...
i think it would be cool to implement gods into the game that help or harm you through random events (e.g. hit a city with a lightning or send you a demon to aid you in battle etc.) and that you can influence a gods favor by doing quests for him, battling against the other gods or building shrines etc....
Could work in a mod. But it do not fit into the game as the gods (titans) have been extinguished during the cat
