@KingHobbit The problem is that Path of Governor is a bit broken. Have a Hero to grow 1xp for staying in a city? For building roads? This path is only usefull, if any case, for injured champs...Maybe it should be a trait (Governor I, II, III) instead of a real path, and for that it is already Administrator trait...
The Governor Path is very useful. They add Gildar, research, lower unrest---they are all very be
That's not tue. I want to play a magic user, and relive my AD&D glory days ...but I also want to survive. And in FE, it seems like fighters have a significant early and mid game advatage.
Then you are living your AD&D glory days. Mages at the lower levels in D&D were weak. They needed a good fighter to keep them out of trouble. In the mid levels they could really contrib

I think you should be able to select a governor to be assigned to the Governor's Office and it should grant a Champion on the Path of the Governor experience every turn it is assigned to that city building. Only Governor Champion per city. They should get better at doing governor things when they are being a governor. I would also like to see in the Path of the Warrior. Elite Trainer--trained troops get +1 experience each turn they are in the same stack as

One of the best features is the ability to make so many different types of games. Lately, I have started games like your 3 to 5 ratings on purpose. After picking my sovereign, I change the world to sparse resources and sparse magic, and then I make monsters dense. It is the best way to make the world more broken. It is a lot of fun trying to scrap your way out of that mess. I like the broken world that is hard to even get going. Progess is very slow and

This still seems like a futile exercise. If you are willing to spend 30 minutes on every turn because you are stopping and saving before you do anything just in case it doesn't work out how you want it just seems silly. You are taking advantage of something the AI cannot. Worse yet, the same turn one of the AI might have looted a fantastic sword and you reloaded the game to get something better, and now you got the sword and the AI got a rusty helm. In your game the A

These aren't exactly brand new 4x conventions here. I just don't want to have to scan through my city list every single turn.
I do like the idea of actively having a city research. The quick glance to the left just doesn't bother me I guess. 7 Pop ups late in the game would get annoying th
So have an option to toggle it on/off... It's great that Zzz works for you, but it doesn't work for everyone.
If they can build it so I can cancle the pop-up, but in the later stages of a big game I can have anywhere from 5, 6, or 7 cities build queues go empty. Having 7 pop ups just to remind me the queue is empty seems to be a making a window that people will just click to get it out

This has been an interesting thread to read. Here is my worthless two cents. Saving and reloading is cheating the game. If you save and reload because of a bad treasure drop or bad battle outcome then you are cheating the game. The randomness of what they are is what makes it challenging. Does it suck to fight a dragon and 8 air shrills and get a pair of rusty boots. It does, I also lost two units, and got a champion injured because of a critic

I am fine if they add sea travel, and I am fine if they don't. I think it would open up a lot of different options. If they do add it, I would hope that it would be done as an expansion. That way it is done correctly. Same thing with Dynasties. I like the marriage and children aspect. I was not big fan of marrying them though. I think it added depth to the character and added to the connection. I think it would be great if they added

Welcome to the party. There are a couple other things that you are going to love besides when you out and out miss. Get ready for: "Clink" "Dodged" "Blocked" and my favorite "-1" I actually talk to my computer now. "Swing" -1 . Ah dammit "Swing" "blocked" craapppp.
Quoting KingHobbit, reply 11 I can't even get the Alliance option to come up. I researched everything in my last game and it was never an option. I have a late game save. DO you have to have anything else in place for it to be an option. You need to have Alliance researched and Close relations with the other faction.
It's fun winning an alliance victory with all AIs still alive, but most down to one city. You get fewer diplomatic penalties this way, too. Fewer, not none.
I can't even get the Alliance option to come up. I researched everything in my last game and it was never an option. I have a late game save. Some of the new wines and ales add things permanently and some are just combat. One gives you 10% poison resistance and that seems to be permanent. The Quendar Wine is tactical.
