Completely agree with Tuidjy. My main Fortress has to have a minimum of two essence, a third is even better. The enchantments can change the outcomes of battles. I agree with putting a fortress in a highly contested part of the map, but there has to be a training center. If you can get the Great Mill and put it in this training center as well. The minimum Fortress has to be a 3/3/2, but the first number is actually kind of irrelevant to me. If I can

I can hardly believe you can say that Xia. I have never known you to speak so abruptly.
The vast majority of my cities are towns simply to increase food and cash production. Any location that has no essence, usually becomes a town, unless it is in a key location, or if it has a super high production. Saw a location that was a 2/5/0. I still built a Fortress. I put Fortress in key locations, but I always try to build a primary fortress on a 3/3/2 or 2/4/2 or better, Best Fortress ever was 2/5/3--also had my Great Mill. The city built up
The upgrade that adds a catapult is pretty good though.
Champions should have a salary---but a powerful champion should actually start adding influence.
I usually try to rush to get both Merchant Bazaar and the Great Mill. Merchant Bazaar goes in my best Town, and the Great Mill goes in my fortress where I will end up producing troops. This fortress has to have at least two essence so I can add enchantments to my troops. Then it depends on the game for me. What character do I have, what resources do I have. I like out researching my opponents, so a lot of times I will continue to research civilization to
I never save and reload, not even bad starts. I agree with Heavenfall, sometimes the worst beginnings make the best games. I do think if someone plants an outpost or city next to a high level monster that it should be mad at the ones that invaded its space. My last game it seemed like a Drake and 3 pack drakes wondered half away across the map to find one of my cities. The part still seems odd to me, but thats the way it goes. I typically play o
[quote who="Viperswhip" reply="17" id="3275800"]Stacks of Doom, not so scary when you can freeze it on the map for 3 turns (I don't think they can resist, I have frozen everything), and then pillar of flame it or whatever else into ashes. See Rvgr's reply. I am actually more worried about the AI getting good at that. I will develop a strategy of rolling outposts to get within 5 squares of the city and send in my shock troops and then a lone troop to take the city. That's my take o
Unfortunately now that the champs can recover from injuries with the Elixir, the stack of doom will become more common.
[quote who="Heavenfall" reply="1" id="3275512"]It is very easy to recover in 1.01. Make a city into a Conclave (make sure it has 1 essence at least) then go Herbalist -> Apothecary. In your shop you can now buy Iru Elixirs for 150 gold that remove 1 random injury. My favourite part about FE is that we get to design our own units. There are premade templates, but it is just so much fun to equip both your army units and your heroes down to the last detail. No oth

Why do we have to do anything at all? They are simply the weakest, which to me is what will make them fun. Completely balanced is boring.
How is your Epic Ranking calculated?
The ability to remove the injuries has made Champions even more powerful than they already were. Plus all of them having magic, and now they are never injured---the game is eliminating the need to even make units.
I would like to be able to help Allies and close friends more. Unless I am playing as Verga. If a sovereigns tells me they are being crushed by so and so, and I am playing as Verga. I usually declare war on the weakling.
[quote who="stevelamperti" reply="59" id="3273832"] Just had to deal with a dragon in my game. They are hard, but the really big issue is that they injure themselves with their own breath. Quite badly. This was the only reason I was able to beat it. If this one thing was fixed, I think that dragons would be quite difficult enough. there are bigger issues issues
Dance with Dragons is an absolute game changing event. Once you get them, it is marching time. Although until the battle below I did not know that the Clambercoil Dragon was more powerful than the Storm Dragon. Do I have the order of the Dragon correct. (by power) 1. Ashwake 2. Clambercoil 3. Storm 4. Fell How do you determine what kind of Dragon you are going to get when you develop a Dragon Cave?&
