Awesome- not really much of a use for it in Elemental... the public has the Stardock forums, and mod downloads are handled in game :) - Defiantly will keep my eyes on it though :)

To make it more impressive, show them creating a spell than show the spell in-engine so we can see how powerful it is. Even if the tool doesn't look impressive, if the results are it will speak for itself. PS- Any luck on getting us a model to look at? E:EE's modelers are itching to get to work.

It doesn't have to be perfectly coded with a genetic algorithm to make it play perfectly compared to a human, but it just pains me when there's things which gain the player a massive advantage in the game which the AI don't understand. Another example is buffs in Age of Wonders. It's painful that the AI doesn't know how to use them properly in that game

I have to go to San Francisco later this month to start doing the marketing thing (btw, just a tip for everyone else, the marketing people hate when I refer top media tours as marketing things). So it won't be out until after the week of the 24th when I'm visiting Gamespot

I'm a huge fan of Sid as well, but I will not be buying Civ5 due to the protections. I'll try out a friends copy when they are done with it, and will only buy it if a non-steam version is released (which likely will happen eventually). If people buy it, than it only encoruages them to keep doing it. If we all stick together and REFUSE to buy any game with that kind of protection on it, than eventually they will stop when the games stop selling. It may take a title or two - they are likely to

FrogBoy is looking into getting us a model to look at (I'm hoping very soon). Once we have one, we can use it as a reference for things like item size, poly count, etc.

When I "play" Galactic Civilizations it's primarily to watch the computer players play against each other. With Elemental, I anticipate other freaks like me to do that since users can define their own AI personalities, assign them to players and then watch them fight it out. You humans

One of the thing's I'm doing for the E:EE Mod is creating two versions - one is the basic version which simply expands the gameplay of the original game. When that is complete we are moving on to a more sophisticated mod. This will include things like Randomly Generated Heroes (or if we are unable to, large numbers of heroes randomly picked), Random religion emergence, terrain based technologies (so if you start near a lot of forests, your people might become forest-dwellers, if your in the d

I forgot to add that we are looking for someone to do some extra music tracks as well. We are still recruiting for other positions as well. We need more coders and modellers, 2D artists (to do backrounds for technologies, map icons, etc.), texture artists, etc. Time is now ticking. FrogBoy's "Approximately 90 days" clock starts in the next few days. I would like to have some basic stuff ready for Beta-5's launch!
@Stager - Beta 3 marks the 90 day or so kick off until release. Not Beta 1Z. We still have to make it through beta 2 and then get beta 3 out and that could take anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months.
Thanks for the clarification. It still does seem like an awfully short time period since the majority of the game is going to be done during Beta-3 and 4. I was hoping Beta-3 would be a few months in-and-of i

90 days +- a few weeks until RELEASE? Are you insane? Don't you mean 90 days until Beta 4? Granted your build is WAY ahead of ours.... but there's still so much to do.....
