Sooooo... I am trying to post my spell and I keep getting a code 3 error and a small box with a 404 error. Any ideas on how to solve this would be most helpfull.

To be honest in the current beta my game slows down or crashes in most tactical battles so i havn't had much opportunity to look at how well the dodge is working... tho in the few battles I have had I have yet to see a dodge. On a side note in the build menu for cities I have noticed there are currently two buildings that raise gildar production by 25% in their descriptions... I am sure one of these is meant to produce one gildar per turn. I am suprised something this simple still has
Seeing as one 1.1 is still very much about bedding in the core mechanics and creating a stable platform from which to build I don't understand why you would look to those patch notes for evidence of future spell content. The best indicator we have is the fact they are currently running a design a spell contest. You bring a smile to my face frogboy, as long as those points are on your radar Elemental will be epic. As for the land feeling barren and dull...adding more interesting quests/monsters/rewards will go some way towards making it more interesting. Also spells could be allowed to customise the tiles in interesting ways.... For example we could have a spell that allows us to turn a tile into the lake of enlightenment. Just had the same thing but it was three Heroes and one champion and the champion went neutral. Also currently there is no way to dispand a hero? I hired a stack of three one of whom was rubbish and now i am forced to send him off on a suicide run. No a big issue atm but if you guys ever make heroes require an upkeep (which i think you should) people might like the ability to disband heroes.

I have the same issue. My battles start out fine and then get almost unplayable as the battle goes on. I was using the wind spells not the fire however.
I think that would be a really good idea for a later level spell... one that costs alot of mana but allows you say another 20 tiles to build on in the city you cast it on.
Firstly I want to say that I am really enjoying this beta... havn't played since 1.07 and the game seems to shapeing up into a really solid base from which stardock can build. Secondly I am having the exact same issues as Archonsod. Keep up the great work guys.

In my opinion something is overpowered if it has no viable counter. I really think this is why the devs have to have an over arching plan for game balance thats takes into account all of the mechanics of the game. Game balanceing should be build into the design process from the start and not an after thought. Stardock don't want to end up like blizzard always reacting to changes they have made. Be proactive :)
I place my icons in mods\Gfx\items and that seems to work fine.
Wow. I am loving the icons you have made and how the new swords sound. I shall let you know how i get on trying them in game once I get a chance. I am really enjoying starting a new game each time and seeing how the latest version changes how I play. Btw I really like the new mounts. Great mod. The Fire essence seems to be missing its picture in the shops and the text on two of the magic bows seem to be missing a word. Keep it up, I am really enjoying this so far!
Heya foxunit. I have been learning to use blender over the last week and am at the stage where I feel I can make some pretty nice UV textured mage staffs. However I can see myself running into some issues getting them into the game. Hope you don't mind if I pm you the odd message or post here any questions that end up really stumping me. Your work so far looks brilliant. I am really loveing the bow!!!
I have to say that the modding section of the forums its where all the nice people seem to hang out while the general section seems to be filled with alot of hate and arguements :( I have spent all tonight learning how to use blender and apply uv textures. So expect a few questions thrown your way from me about the process of getting some of my stuff from blender into the game. The guide that has been stickyed looks very helpfull in that regard :)

Out of interest is anybody here on the forums a fan of Robert Jordans Wheel of Time books. I think alot of stuff from those books could make for an interesting mod and would sit well with elemental lore. I ask because once I get abit of time off work I am thinking about createing a mod that would add champions, items and clothing to the game based on the books (might even add some factions, tiles and techs if I get abit bold)
I love the look of this mod. You are doing a fantastic job. It really is this sort of thing that makes me so excited about what elemental is going to become over the next few days. It seems over the last few days alot of fantastic looking stuff is coming from the community.
