Hell i'm hopeing he gets a spare moment this evening (I have seen codeing done by hackers and that in films... looks quick and easy) [e digicons]^_^[/e] hehe Nah I know this stuff takes time, but heres hopeing some of these ideas are on their whiteboards somewhere.

Yeh my spell has been entered fine now. Cheers
Depends how full the workload of stardock is atm... I think it would be smart for stardock to have at least one person filling in content for the upcoming patches... making weapons, quests, heroes, spells and uber monsters.
it is not like it would be difficult to place a limit on the amount of harbors that can be build.
Give it another try in 4 months time.
There is no partial return on unfinished prestige production like there is on resources. For resources, if you produce 0.1 metal, you'll get one metal in 10 turns. For population, if you produce 0.1 prestige, you'll get 0 population in 10 turns. Royalty should maybe just be +1 prestige in the stationed city.
Agreed... even better would be +1 prestige for every 5 levels your sov grows... or link it in with charisma some
So does this mean I need to reach a city prestiege of 10 before the royalty perk is usefull... I know that 100% was very unbalanced but I am wondering is 10% slightly underpowered. I guess if you had 50 prestiege thats 5 extra points. What are peoples thoughts?
glad i am not the only one. Still can't post my spell, I have tried firefox and IE on a windows 7 machine and XP.
Great ideas tjashen!
Yeh really cool ideas here also. I get so dissapointed that loots basically boils down to gold and healing meat. Rare loot that can be used for crafting would be all sorts of exciting. Thinking about it today. Elemental actually already has many hooks being in its nature a hybrid which will appeal to different people in different ways. However I would say that currently all the hooks it h
You are confusing real life and a fantasy roleplay. In fantasy roleplay the peasants lose, in real life they are almost as likely to win as the knights depending on luck and terrain. Google agincourt you fool. In games though, having equipment and training mean nothing in the face of bad luck is frustrating. Therefor these encounters are way more tilted to the heroes advantage, anything else just isn't fun.
There is a fair difference bet
It is a shame the contest form to enter spells has been broken since the 23rd. Stardock is probally missing out of some potentially cool spell ideas.
I was wondering if any body else dislikes ending up with a bunch of heroes sitting in their cities clogging up the UI just because you want the +1 to gildar or what ever that they provide by being there. Perhaps it would be possible to add an option to the heroes menus called "join city". If used the hero would choose to settle down and permanently move into that city, This would effectively remove the hero from the game yet the stat bonus they added to the city would remain. If you w
Um so any ideas what this update does... havn't seen a post about it from the devs :s
Tell me about it. Although I can't see how they are going to fit everything into just one more book... seems like far too little space to tie everything up but hey we shall see.
I like your user name a whole lot. I would follow you into the blight :)
I agree with the potential of the games unit creator. I would love to see something as simple as letting me choose the main colour and trim of my units... just because my sov and faction are using green and brown doesn't mean I want every unit I create to use those colours. Let me create my sovs elite unit of golden body guards, or a unit of black coated assasins. Combined with the above things Heavenfall is mentioning this would really allow us to get invested in our units and use our imagin
I am sure some people will read your post and comment that elemental is nothing like Diablo or WoW. I however strongly agree with you, because Elemental is abit of a Hybrid and has a tactical rpg element Stardock could learn alot by looking at the hooks in games like Diablo and WoW. Also I would add to list Final Fantasy 9... Things like summons and equiping weapons to earn abilities over time would be great additions to the game that would certainly be a hook for me. I thinks Elemental
Thank you for that. Stardock really needs to think about that aspect of the UI. Would make for sense if abilitys had one button in the UI called "use ability" and then they were all listed in the screen that pops up... kind of like spells are now. Although the spell book interface isn't perfect. I will give your mod a go when I get home it sounds really excellent. Edit: your mod works wonderfully and actually adds a whole layer to my thought process on which weapons I w
i got the feeling from brad's post that they were struggling to make dodge effective, without having half your attacks do nothing (which is pretty unsatisfying and slows the game down). is there some way around this we can suggest? multiple smaller attacks perhaps?
I think high dodge rates are fine as long as it is clear as to why half your attacks are missing... If I know the enemy has a very high dex then I wouldn't mind half my at
i would like more options too - so you could really specialise your city things that come to mind are Materials Metal Mana (need a shard in city) Trade (amplifies the trade routes that hit this town - to make a trade hub!) Unit Production (a city that experts on building units) Defence bonus (increased defensive structures gives bonus to defence) Food bonus (this one i would sa
Very nice, just what the game needs. Out of interest how does the UI handle muliple abilities on a hero? Do know if there is a limit to how many it can handle?
I have the same issue :( posted about it yest and have yet to receive a response. However most of stardock are away for thanksgiving so I shall cut them some well deserved slack on the matter :)
Well, Kael's only been on the job for 3 weeks, we can't expect Rome in a day you know. I do think the game is going in the right direction. Even at 1.09E, it has become pretty good (I actually like it a lot). They can't please everyone though (I like the old Mana system), and since this is a BETA we can focus on what is working and try to make that better. The sooner we get a beta with a working dodge,
I feel that pain. I can feel the game getting there slowly and right now I want to do some real testing and the current patch seems to really be going in the right direction yet in its current state it crashes too much and quite a few key componants are currently not there (ai and dex for example)
I am getting the code 3 also and I am submitting for the first time. using firefox and I am logged in.
