I wouldn't worry overly. I think over the next few weeks stress levels will begin to die down on all sides and some of the worse offenders will move on to their next internet drama :) Elemental and its community will flourish, just need a bit of patience.

I completely agree with your post. I do alot of lurking on these forums and time and time again I get the impression that stardock thinks about too many aspects of their game in isolation. I have faith however and aslong as the devs pay attention to some of the bright minds posting on these boards then elemental will be the game it has the potential to be.
I disagree with the idea that unit creation must result in bland units. I think it has more to do with the game in its curent unfleshed out state. Imagine the current unit builder with 10 times as many items and equipment to choose from. Then if stardock allowed you to choose where your units stats go and choose a special ability for them every time they leveled. I think what would result would be some really personalised units. My personal opinion of elemental atm is it n
Yeh it does look very nice. Will be sure to keep an eye on this
Nice, will be downloaded when I get home. Thx for the great work!
May be a bug, However I had the same problem and in may case when I zoomed out to the cloth map I discovered I had founded my city surrounded by forest (even tho on the screen it didn't look very foresty) turns out you can't build in a forest.
Thank you for this, Wasn't expecting so much in this patch. My only gripe is did you have to reduce item stacking to just one per item? One per item is fine for the packs etc but it would be nice to equip at the very least a couple of rings :) Keep up the great work.
I like your ideas alot and would be very happy to see this implemented by Stardock. I hope the devs take a long serious look at your post here, especially considering the cracking mod you have released already which I am currently enjoying a great deal :)
A comment on the item stacking: I suggest 10 rings (10 fingers!) 2 bracelets 1 pack (2 with mount?) 3 amulets. Or better yet, make the limits moddable
This, I like the idea of having a limit and I think this would be about right allowing for us to make some hard thought choices about what those ten rings etc will be. <
Thanks downloading now
I have been testing some champions i have made. When i set 1000 they always seem to appear... so my guess is 800 = 80% otherwise what would be the point of a number above 100.
Do we know any more on how to get make a created hero more likely to spawn... I am finding ti difficult to test any heros I make atm and would be nice to know how to get them to spawn 100% of the time.
Fantastic downloading now :) thanks for this, all my troops were either archers or knights. With this mod mage troops will now be both fun and viable.
Yeh tell me about it. I guess in the future stardock might make a folder we can place modded pngs into to make installs easier for people... would also cut down on the amount of time I spend clicking through directories when modding.
Thank you for the encouragement :) I wasn't happy with the texture I was using on the cloaks so i have redone them with a nicer texture that suits the colours better. I have also added 3 new cloaks. Black, White and Yellow. Hmm i shall call this version 1.1 I guess. If you have downloaded before then just download the new files and overwrite any files that it asks you to. Version 1.1 download link http:/
I added a small mod the rel page is here https://forums.elementalgame.com/394033
Hello my first mod so it is just a simple one. This mod adds three simple coloured cloaks to the game whch become available once you have researched the equipment tech on the Combat tree. You can also add them to a new sov, they only boost your def by one but they are cheaper than the scouts cloaks. Here is the download link (removed see below for new link) install instructions are included in the file. Let me know what you think and if you think it is worth
Btw the game stores its png files in Elemental\Gfx\items you could find an image you like in there then edit the colours etc in photshop, rename it and save it back in Elemental\Gfx\items. Then it is just a case of linkiing to the newly saved png within the XML code.
Thanks for the clarification. Ok brilliant I can get on with making my mod now. EDIT: also while we are on the subject I notice in the XML coding for an item there is a tint tag for the items png eg but it doesn't seem to do anything. Anybody know why?.
I like your idea however I would avoid going the route of the tiles starting outs as a quest location... this would mean resource nodes are going to keep popping up and this could be potentially abused to unbalance the game. Instead is it not possible to rip the sections of code that forces you into tactical battles on the quest nodes and adapt them into your newly made resource nodes? hmm but for that to work you would need a way to disable the player from building on the resource untill the
Hello fellow modders. After finally getting other peoples mods to work, I can now start trying to create a few of my own. I decided I would start off simple and create a small range of coloured cloaks (because it always bugs me in game when all my champions cloaks are miss matched :) ) I have gotten my cloaks working and showing up in game fine and they are all the right colours however it bugs me that their .png icon is the standard brown scouts cloak icon. So I delved into t
Thanks for the replys. I tried starting a new game (I had tried this before and it hadn't worked) and the mods are now working :). This time I did uncheck a box in options called "use local data" or some such would that have had an affect on the mods working or not?
very nice thank you for this :)
Hi there. So I have downloaded a few mods posted here in the forums, One with new armors and another that adds parrying weapons. The instructions for install were very simple they told me to place the files in my documents\my games\elemental\items which I did. I then loaded up my game (with "use mods" checked) yet the effects of the mods do not seem to register. Any body know what I am doing wrong? Many thanks
Wow sounds like you have done a really good job... I think you should give some thought to releasing these files... I would certainly download them.
