There could be duels (not to the death, but to win "something") ... THAT would be intersting. Basically it would be a full asault battle between two players, but the only unit in play for either side would be the Sovereign. First of all, no one would actually die or get hurt after the battle is over/ someone defeats the other one. Secondly, it would have to be goverened by a strict set of rules to prevent assasinations during this process. Possibly (and most simply) it could be done at any ti

Fail: But then they (choppers) are killed by regular infantry Win: saw Avatar the movie
Yea, I think we are all fans of in-game things which we are personally against. Its like playing an alter-ego. Probably alot more present in people with a greater degree of Cognitive Disonance. Anyways, I really liked the movie.
Part of why I would want for Dragons to be Channelers, with Channeler-like stats (other than it would seem fitting) is that I would like to easily mod it so that I, the Sovereign, am a Dragon.
well, since im reptilian and all ... can I sue the humans for species harassment?
yey for multiplayer
with the Demon quest, I prefer for the demons to start immediately attacking the country-side, and nearby towns, cities, settlements, and barbarian strongholds. The longer you wait the larger the demon nation will be, which you will have to fight through to kill the big demon.
So make it better, faster, and stronger. Paint it a different color, call it something else and repackage it. Its the american way.
You mean the Japanese way?
Fail: the only cure for being a lunatic .... is AIDS Win: Dragons are the best! And I can't stop winning FFH! :)
The only weapon that has no match is the Titan Sword :P (or maybe the Holy sword after the angel blesses it). Just imagine it like a zelda Master Sword on crack. sure its one of the sharpest things, for mundane damage or whatnot, but it deals +50% damage to beasts, +100% damage to angels/demons, and also has a maximum attack which combines its arcane and physical elements. Each strike with the sword gives an damage attack via mundane and arcane, however the "to hit" roll is the combin
eh, not everyone has to have these stats. Only the sovereign, giant magical creatures, and adventures/heroes. As for war-heroes though, that happen to be field-promoted to commander or something ... I see them as more-so Suped up regular dudes, that have the added ability of large morale bonuses for any nearby soldiers. Also perhaps with a command stat as well.
Your worst nightmare quest sound very similar to my Titan's Sword/ Demon Spawn quest. Perhaps the two could be fused together? :)
Yea ... for any such poisoning quest (a quest I think should only be instigated by a successful poisoning by a rival Assasin who was either acting via the Coin Purse of a rival faction or through his own NPC initiative) ... that the poisoning is slow and steady, eventually leading to half of max stats (except essence which would remain untouched). You would have to send people to find the cure/make the cure ... maybe there is an event/quest/person able to create a building in one of your citi
I think Dragons should have in-depth stats like Sovereigns do (only much higher values), and if you are able to speak to it (have discovered the ancient draconic language and learned it, or something), you would interact with Dragon like you would any other rival sovereign. Only this time, you can form a permanant alliance with the dragon, and he can fight for you. I don't know how large stats can grow ... but from previous examples Im thinking at least double physical
I don't mind lesser quests in addition to the massive Titan's Quests, Master Quests, ect. Especially if its part of a larger quest. Just as long as it doesn't clutter the UI, yet there is a button you can click to see a list of all available quests ;)
OR they could simply have Wyvern mounts ;) .... would be easier to rezise the Wyvern and redistribute stats appropriately than to resize and restat a smaller version of "Super Dragon" and then adding the mount functionality. I wholehearedly agree that there should be Wyvern Mounts and Bug Mounts (like a Wasp or Dragonfly) am I the onlyone that imagines a certain type of swamp-dwelling Fallen (or a shorter, Marshveld Elven Race) which lives in swamps and whose major non-magical
I think with most of these quests ... remove the word (dragon) and insert the word (troll, giant, or centaur). In this way, only the really, really high-end quests (like on par or even greater than the Titan's Sword / Demon quest) will actually have to deal with a dragon, since on a giant map there are maybe 5 dragons? Unless these other, random dragons are much younger and less legendary.
Wealthy Veteran has found an infant and wishes to raise her as his daughter. 1. Please do so (greatly increases prestige, could anger citizens [somehow], could lead to either a "missing men" event or an "angry harpies" event) ++ liberal //chaotic 2. We will not be raising such monstrosities! (kills harpy, veteran leaves) + totalitarian //neutral 3. We will return such a creature to her natural habitat (quest to the harpy lair,
[this is more an "event" than a quest, but every good Strategy RPG needs events imho :)] A powerful Bandit Hero has been captured 1. Hire him (costs alot of gold, maybe some penalty ... would be happiness/disorder, but not sure how it would fit into elemental mechanics. Perhaps temporarily lowers Prestige a large amount?) + towards totalitarian //evil 2. Kill him (does nothing) //neutral 3. Hold a Public Execution (increases prestig
I pre-ordered a few weeks ago, right after Thanksgiving. I would of pre-ordered a much longer time ago (mid October) but I thought to wait until an opening where I could join the beta. Finally I decided that, since I would be getting the game anyway, getting it now would be safer than risk missing another Beta-join opportunity.
Okay ... so I know there are no "planes?" from Master of Magic ... but if there could be a seperate map just for one epic dungeon ... call it Plane-Shift perhaps, and call the inner-sanctum of the Dungeon the Spiritual Gates (or holy land, ect). So from where we left off, you joined the 3 hidden gems/artifacts, you defeated the Monster (and collected the weapon from its remains), you joined the weapon with the joined artifacts, fusing a super-weapon (Titan's Sword). This then
Oh, as an addition to my Titan's Sword quest, once you unlock the dungeon (by fusing the final sword), until you completely defeat the dungeon its suped up residents are going to start leaking out into the countryside. So the down-side of not completing the Ultra-epic Dungeon after gaining your Titan Sword is that extra-nasty (hellish?) barbarians are going to start raiding villages, killing caravans, and even killing other barbarians!
find three hidden artifacts ... join them together into one artifact. the creation of the one artifact spawns a powerful Monster on the map. Destroy the monster and it becomes a weapon (sword). Bring the sword back to the artifact, and the two will fuse to become a super-weapon. If there were other planes of existence in the game ... wielding the weapon would allow transport to a strange land (or it could also be the key to a dungeon. Hopefully certain epic Dungeons have their own mini-map. A
I nominate Lair for the PS3
I don't think Charisma (or whatever) should effect multiplayer diplomacy. In fact, they are creating two separate UI's for multiplayer diplomacy and singleplayer diplomacy. I'd be curious though, if diplomacy with AIs in multiplayer would follow the Single Player construct. I believe it is like this in Civ 4, however Civ 4's diplomacy for SP seems to pale in comparison for what is in store for elemental's diplomacy.
