Considering the game will have battles at different fort type structures (aka=sieges), which frequently do last multiple days... I see no reason why battles on the map must be one day only. Also take into consideration the enormous 64_bit maps where armies will be massively larger by middle and late game. Also having a method for battles taking multiple days(aka=turns) opens more gameplay strategies suc

Speaking about dragons, wasn't there some talk about recruiting monsters, and rarely, a dragon, to fight alongside you? Any-thoughts on how to gain such creatures? Also, I think that certain super-enemies could allow for a team-up (at least temporary) if the right alignment/religious pre-requirements were met ... then you could at least TALK to the darn thing, and it would give you a quest to complete, and if you complete the quest it would team up with you.
To be clear, is essense like mana? so to build a new city is almost the equivalent of casting a major spell? Might it be a good strategy to attack some-one's caster right after they build a new city?
eh, like I said in another thread/post, I think its best if you start out building them one at a time, and then later-on, when you have enough man-power, influence, and resources, you can "mass produce" units, so when building one Imperial Lancer, you can slide the cost to build actually 10 units at one time. we ARE looking at the possibility to field 200-500 individual men/beasts on a battlefield at one time, right? At least? Also, you can group 10 or so units
Geddon Cloud .... Electricity, possibly Electric/Fire cross-over spell (possibly with some death/entropy mixed in as well) Geddon cloud is the most powerful electrical attack. Aside from dealing considerable damage in its own right, It has a high chance of paralyzing and blinding most units, as well as adding a considerable degree of Ozone into the battlefield, reducing enemy electrical resistance by 20% (-20% resistance) for future electrical attacks. The Ozone fades a
I agree that looting of the bodies should be allowed. This kind of ties in with units that require several different resources, and having one of those resources removed. The best idea from THAT is to have whichever equipment slot it is to be replaced by the second best equipment (if equipment are more speciallized and less, this one good-this one bad, then human player could que a rank of 3 alternate equipment, or simply list their top 5 favorite equipment for each slot, in order) ei
I would rather avoid having one unit represent multiple soldiers. As to one cohesive regiment or company, I think 5-10 units is plenty. I also think it would be nice to, early on, recruit only one at a time, whatever, although later on when you have the proper requirements, able to recruit all 10 at one time. although it would be nice to have larger unit sizes, really the max we need to get would be 50, imo, and that would be for something quite massive, like skeletal horde, or somthi
I vote 2nd although thats possibly because i'm baised against deserts.
What??? I love desert!! I love the malakim too, er I mean the Shiia-Humans ... or Gypsy humans from hyrule type thing if nothing else. Although the malakim were more or less anti-recon and trickery, and more truth based, the gypsy humans from Hyrule (I forget the name) were more recon/sorcery, all kinds of trickery ... like a Desert
eh, give me two identical pictures, only change lighting, and then we talk. Currently we also have camera angle, cropping, and other such cinematic flavors at work here. Place them all together, and both pictures look good. Now place 5 identical pictures side by side, with lighting being the ONLY difference (for reals this time) and then we can have people picking their favorites.
Is there another beta coming up? I hear that the deadline for beta was October 1st, not sure if that is the last beta, or if there will be another one sometime before release. On-topic, if you wait for a period of time after the release, then it will hurt their initial sales demographic, and X-company may consider the game a flop, or a "dog" product, and not place too much more time and effort into it. Either way, if your buying the game primarily for multiplaye
I think any and all options which relate to a sovereign being able to retreat, with any units that were able to make it to the starting side of the map (retreat side) can retreat across their edge of the battlefield. Once can only do so once per turn, although your remaining reatreater army makes double-move towards friendly territory. this of course would take place during the battle. We are going to have the sovereign move about the battlemap with his troops ... aren't we? and he gr
OR.... you can only have one soldier with said bonus ... or rather a fairly small bonus ... that will only stack to a small or mediocre total bonus. I like the latter as its a true sacrifice on military effectiveness. I can just see a garrison of soldiers of love fighting off an elite task-force of dread-knights.
I think Total War did it best, where at any time during the battle, you can move certain units towards your edge of the battlefield and then click "retreat" which has them escape at their highest speed. Then, on the wordmap, said retreated units move towards nearest friendly city at almost double their maximum move. You could only retreat once per turn though, I believe.
Or perhaps Undead usage without significant cost could be a benefit for using a weaker religion..... say a religion that gives less bonuses to economy, is a death worshipping evil religion. If you want to have a better happiness/ gold/science input religion, you will need to be acceptable with weaker undead.
In a completely non related topic, is it possible to have an arcane spell that can have a select elite group of horses grow wings? and or capture/train Pegasi? Also, can the Soverein capture/train a designated mount? and can said royal steed have its own level? // possible royal steeds being Tigers, Boars, Horses (of course), Pegasi, Psuedo-Dragons, Wyrmlings, Griffons, Giant Lizards, Dinosaur rip-offs of some sort, ect.
I also agree that micromanage is absolutely perfect if it has a well-made AI controlled alternative. Micromanagement can = barely surviving against a much superior AI foe. (or a bored human one) What I would like to know on the units, is how commonplace Cavalry units are, and wether you simply need to build a stables first, or if you have to find a free-range herd of Horses to slowly domesticate. Also, if mounted units (like cavaliers, horsearchers, Men-At-Arms, and Cataphract
New name for this spell. Cloud of Geddon. Geddon could be a reference to some powerful archmage living in the world that led to the cataclysm. Edit: the soon to be card picture for the Cloud of Geddon spell is now on my desktop (cropped to contain mostly lightning and cloud) [e digicons]|-)[/e] Now of course, I have no control over spells or cards, although this is what I would re
