I suspect 4 units vs 1000 would be much like a dragon vs 1000. I'm assuming you have the option to keep rank (in which, considering melee troops, those 4 people will continuously be fighting 4 legionaires at a time, (until they die). Now, im assuming whoever is controlling the Legion has the option to 'break formation" which is an inefficient way to sent a thousand AI-controlled individual units across the battlefield attacking anything they see. Thus the 4 defenders would be surrounded, and

Sounds good to me. The effect of the Monument could probably be affected by the Champion's level, as well as how awesome his exploits were. (killed 3 Umberdroths, a Dragon, and level 15) would probably give more bonuses than (killed 1 umberdroth, level 20), however (killed 3 Umberdroths, a dragon, and level 20) would provide even more bonuses. probably the primary factor would be the actual accomplishments, and then the level would add a certian percentage, or so. Like a level 10 woul
I like the overall idea. It certainly raises issues, but I think they are addressble. I think I'd allow the Sov to govern a small number of cities by himself, to at least level 3, if not higher (and obviously something that you can increase when picking Sov abilities. It would need to be almost trivial to get level 2 governors, and not too difficult to get level 3 and 4. .
I would have to
Hehe, yea I quite liked the Empire Earth faction creator.
Yes, I would ineed like to make Pavise Crossbowmen types, as well as Horse Archer types that carry alt-melee weapons. Of course the build times would be longer because of the time it would take to build both weapons. Would the training time also be increased for someone who needs to train for two weapons? (not dual wielding, mind you, just alt-wielding)
I agree with slot based, especially if actual building location has far less strategic value than in an RTS game.
Hmm, and here i was quite certain that thing in Krax's hand was a playing card. I was going to assume the Ace of Diamonds. He looks like he is going to throw the Card at you like Gambit from X-men.
Don't worry ... that'll all change when we make a Fall From Heaven mod for it ;) but seriously, I like how the game looks to be headed already .... Ill have two games to love, ELemental, and Elemental:Fall from Heaven
So basically your overall point is if men were angels, they wouldn't need government?
This statement, and statements made prior, seem to be exemplar of Xiaoren.
Legalism tends to make people Cynical. A man that follows a Virtuous path will have as a lifelong goal the internalization of his ethics, so that they become his basic and natural disposition.
YES -both with modding options (special scenarios ect), also AI sov death should not equal faction destruction, however if you have married into their families, ect, you would take control of their lands (at least the non-rebellious elements). also I would rather like to think you could create a Custom Sov to be, say, a dragon. I know all AI/wild dragons are some-what solitary, although this could be one whose solitary tendencies were overpowered
Its the natural economic byproduct of Legalism. In a world of perfect Confucian ideals, we wouldn't NEED any particular form of economics, because through Ren we would all be exemplary human beings working in harmony with each other. People would internally strive for that which is best for Each Other via Morality, or rather the exemplification of Virtues which in turn exempify what it means to be good or harmonious. Alot of this has to do with Independe
I think I got carried away. Ill attempt to blame the fact that Im a Biologist and an Artist.
Can a fallen Emperor equip their troll(s) with Armor and Weapons? Can umberdroths be used as Mounts for certain people (maybe trolls or half-trolls)? Edit: Just going to Reiterate that I love the creatures listed thus far: Especially the Edars, and the Umberdroths are a really close second. I could see Umberdroths as either elite monsters used by a Soveriegn (as pets essentiall), or an Umberdroth could be used as a Sovereign's Mount. It really seems like the per
Yea ... I totally have to agree that "building Border towns for Resource and Food aquisition" seems to be the next logical step to reducing city spam. Reduce City spam by favoring a few large cities plus TOWN SPAM!!!! (aka border-settlement spam, rural area, developed, controlled, but not overpopulated ... ect ect ect)
Actually the Capitar remind me of the Bannor. Very passionate (European Romanticism), and Very focused on Laws and Ettiquite. Basically they would act in ways similar to Frederick the Great of Germany combined with Richard the Lionheart. Their first course of action is "marry your daugher to my son", their second action is "sign this paper to become my Vassal ... I mean ally" ... and to their enemys (and any rebels) they send masses of young people on a Calculated Crusade. Bas
The Magnar sovereign is male. the Trog is protecting herself with the Sword. The Magical one has a very deadly and intimidating pose, as well as her legs actualy not being as spread as the others. The Magnar is thin because he is an elf. His Chest plate is exactly that, not a breastplate. Also the expressed image of the face is quite masculine and the hips are not wide enough. The Magnar guy, in form of body, looks much like Krax, while the Trog and the Uxen hav
I would be fine with Swamp Geth for the Swamp-Based creature .... although for my own part I will suggest the name "Fro'ghan Rex"
hmm ... I wonder if terraforming/melting the snow will only be a temporary fix, as it will eventually freeze back (but of course if you make a plain a mountain it will stay a mountain) I suppose this could be advantagous to Dragons/Tieflings (cause lava doesn't freeze) and Dwarves (snow) ... and disadvantageous to humans and elves. of course, you could make such *warm* terraforming (adding plains, grasslands, forests) some-what permanent, and restoring the sun
for some reason I would of thought the dragon-borne to be Fire/Air, the Dwarves to be Earth/Water, the Humans to be Earth/Air, the Elves to be Air/Water, and the Tieflings to be Earth/Fire If humans live in plains, then perhaps elves could live in a more richer Grassland, or Veld, or marshland *something* .. with a higher % chance for forests to grow or spread. Will these elves have the ability to build cities/communities in tree-land? (up in the tree-tops, or among the trees, or in t
Elemental should really have an *Extra* modular race of Nazi Zombies, and its default Sovereign should be the Undead and magical Von Lichtenhammer. (or some other appropriate name)
It seems that women CAN be more patient and careful. I would say accidents involving men are more reckless mistakes (at high speed), while accidents involving women are stupid mistakes at slow or medium speed. If there was a compilation of vicious high-speed crashes, it would most likely consist of 75% male drivers (or more) for instance, my cousin (female) crashed into a mailbox going maybe 2 miles an hour, a fellow student crashed into the entrance of
yes, you need 1 fire shard to cast fireball .... but it requires a certain amount of mana to do so. Shards just tell which spells you have acess to. Mana does the rest.
Seems like a very good list. I haven't myself played Sins, and Im a bit surprised Battlefront got in before KOTOR, but other than that very similar to something I would of picked. But i'd like to see some more love for Persona :p
I personally think the only advantage a large empire needs is more soldiers and expendable "buffer" cities.
