Have you done any modding of the files? I've never seen that before.

Is this the Pioneer you mentioned? I see it my game but it's a regular hero, not a 3 figure unit. At least the name should be changed. Edited to strike out the incorrect comment. It is a 3 figure unit.

Here's the same problem in a city tactical map. 14 defenders, 12 inside the city, 2 off the map.
The main time I see it is when holding control and trying to click to select multiple units in cities. Cursor tremble so bad it's almost impossible to click on the units.
It's happened to me 5 times in my testing of the .90 scenario. Reported it in this thread.
In both screenshots I had 9 units, and I think the opposing army did also. I don't think they had more than 9, if they did wouldn't that be a bug, since these were battles in the wild w/no city defenders joining the battle?

I'm pretty sure this is the map that I reported in the OP. In this battle the enemy hero was off the map to the southwest just like in the OP.
Right, I just stumbled across a what looked like a river but wasn't. I hope they fix it.

First crash in a long long time for me. Finished a battle, scrolled across the map to see another one of my units, and got the Windows "has stopped working" message. Debug.err is here . I looked for and could not find a .dmp or .zip file with a dump. I see the hero you get at 800 fame is still level 1. I thought that had been fixed, but I guess not. Seems like it shouldn't reset to 1.

BTW, I picked up Lady Irane the same way, and I verified she was an Assassin before she hit level 10. When she hit level 10 I was offered a normal level-up, not a choice of specialty like I got with Carrodus.
I don't know if this is a bug or not. General Carrodus, when defeated in the scenario, joins Altar. I gave him an army and started fighting with him, and when he hit level 10 (he joined me at 9) I'm given the choice of choosing a specialty for him. But he was already a commander, wasn't he? He had several skills that are only available on the commander path.
Here's another one, also from the scenario map. The tile Relias is on is a river, but sure doesn't look like one.
This city has had two Antipathy spells cast on it, as can be seen highlighted in the upper left. The tooltip for city unrest, however, only shows one. If you add up the plus and minus effects you'll see that the total unrest is correct, but to get there you have to have the second spell counted. In the following screenshot, the original line of the zone of control was one tile further to the southeast than is shown now. A Resoln city then expanded and pushed the line to where you see it now. After I took and razed the Resoln city, the zone of control from the two outposts did not snap back to where it should have been, and that odd one tile zone appeared.
