Heh, if they could make it like Dwarf Fortress where everything has a random name and flavour text I'd be in heaven [e digicons]^_^[/e]

Its been said more than a few times before that there will be units that can fly, i.e. Dragons - you just can't train any flying units.

I don't want the beta anyway, but I hope it isn't some sort of screw up that will stop me from downloading the game on release day, I've already pre-ordered and paid for it a month ago. now that I changed to a different computer, I don't see elemental anywhere on my a

You can count me among the 20 that liked the first and pre-ordered the sequel.

Take Starcraft 2, the AI in that game sucks compared to the original. My friends and I still played the original up until the release of Starcraft 2. Due to to the TERRIBLE AI w
Yup, though did anyone else notice this: "The story revolves around the Forge of the Overlord, an item built to warp reality and create magical items, so powerful that just the creation of it attracted a race of superbeings called the Titans to Earth ."
Wow, after listening to that interview it seems we have a lot to look forward to come release. Especially graphics-wise.
The only thing I dislike about the tactical battles is the scale. In the mockup above, they actually seem to be fighting in a specific location whilst (or at least...) in Beta 4 it just seems as though you are fighting on the world map.
Count me among the few that like the change.
Also agree.
Having Inn's have their own screen, like the item shop in which you could choose quests and hear rumours (as well as rest) would be cool.
I think a "World of Darkness" mod would be better.
Or Ravenloft.
I also like the spell-boosting idea.
Aside from spellcasting, I think you also need 1 of each shard for the Magic victory and possibly even the adventuring victory.
I have no idea if there will be flying units. Dragons and imps are in, and should in my book fly, yet if there are no obstacles on the tactical maps, it might not matter.
I -think- they've said before that there won't be any flying units in the base game. As for fire-breathing, yeah I expect that'll be in by release since they've already stated that different units will have different and unique abilities in tactical co
Yeah, I actually preferred it before when a lumber mill could be built upon any forest rather than just old growth forests. It seems odd that we can't use the forests for anything now and it makes materials a bit too hard to come by.
Good ideas.
You could load in game in one of the earlier Beta's, 1Z I think.
It is almost certain that the modding beta is going to come out after the feature-lockdown, so for those of us whose primary interest is modding, we are getting the impression that most of our suggestions are not going to get in. I'm okay with that. I only wish it could have been different.
Feature lockdown is for the release version of the game, the version we'll be playing if we choose not to patc
I don't think that was aimed at you, it was probably aimed at the persons claiming that sales will suffer and the reviews won't be very good if they choose to release next month instead of next year. I don't really understand the concern though. Stardock have made it clear that they will be supporting and patching this game for a while regardless of its financial success. If Stardock are not worried about the deadline, then there's no reason for us to be worried about the deadline, as
Guess you never played Master of Magic or Master of Orion I & II. These games proved you didn't need a multiplayer element to make great, classic, epic games. Come on man! MoM is a 15 year old game - multiplayer wasn't even mainstream in gaming at the time. I am talking about modern RTS games (like Elemental) which pretty much scream for an amazing multiplayer experience.
<
That map looks great!
