Looks like a lot of their gripes came from the slow pace of the early game. Once again it seems like the more mainstream reviews place a premium on how easy a game can be digested.

Conclave - 5/4/3 Fortress - 5/4/3 Town - 5/4/3 You did say ideal, right? :) I'll usually take anything with 2 essence over a better Grain/Materials (so say a 3/2/2 over a 4/2/1) because the essence is so flexible. Enchanted hammers for the win.
The problem is that "if the fundamental design just did not feel right" is a very subjective phrase. I thought the E:WoM design "didn't feel right" but am enjoying Fallen Enchantress immensely. Many of the things that were poorly executed in WoM are very well executed in FE (city building, hero leveling, strategic spells, UI, etc.). If you could go into detail on what those problems that FE inherited from WoM are, then I could see some merit in your post. Because as of right now i

Some poor executive had it all figured out... a cash store for items. Q: How the *bleep* is a loot driven game supposed to work when you can "buy" better gear than you can find? They removed the goal! The driver. Brilliant!
Well, in this case the goal is the same; get better loot. But they jus

If the game sucks so much, why did you keep playing the game? This is actually one place where I would only trust a review that had played for a long time. One of the things about a gam

The other 99% of the time I was playing by myself. Same with GalCiv. Same with HoMM, although I'd say maybe 5% of my HoMM playing was MP because my s
No one talking about how the game is being marketed as Fallen Enchantress with the subtle Elemental logo and slick new font but then installing as Elemental: Fallen Enchantress? Sneaky sneaky... and getting both sides of that FE/E:FE poll awhile back.
Well, to whomever "they" are, I can tell you that giving FE (and the yet unnamed expansion) away to me because I pre-ordered WoM has 'bought' my goodwill. Not only that, but by giving me FE you also gave me an investment in the future of the series. I don't think we would've seen all the great support, bug testing, and forum participation if you hadn't given FE to those that purchased WoM. Not only did you keep a group of customers loyal to SD, you kept a group of customer

I don't buy Apple products myself, but if there's a market for small iPads, people will buy them. I didn't know they still sold iPods anymore... I don'
I would be really surprised to see any review less than 4 stars. I'm not sure on what basis it's not, at least, a 4 star game. I'd really want to know how a reviewer could justify less than 4 stars. Sometimes this forum sounds too much like the zealots at Civfanatics. It's a real turn off. Yeah, I've still got my pewter dragon and the 'Elemental map with interesting texture' (I just remember the video of Brad going over all the special edition goodies and saying something like, "I love this map, it feels cool! I mean, it feels really interesting, like a real map!"). With these latest versions of FE I feel like I'm finally getting my $70 worth from three years ago. Thanks a bunch Stardock, can't wait to also watch the evolution of FE unfold.

It's just Doom 3 with the expansion plus a few new levels (and Doom 1 & 2). If you haven't played Doom 3 before (when did it come out, 7/8 years ago?), you should grab it. The graphics are still top notch after nearly a decade too. I can't remember any other FPS that looked that great on a 2004 budget video card. I prefer it on the PC, but I imagine it'll play just fine on an XBox. I know a lot of people were annoyed by the constant in-game P

Having a lot more fun with Torchlight 2 than D3. D3 seems geared towards lots and lots of grinding whereas T2 makes the grind feel less like a grind, if that makes any sense.

INTJ Basically someone who is quiet, thoughtful, imaginative in a grounded way but has no sense of time/deadlines. Sounds like me. The top profession for INTJ's is an architect, which is what I am going for, so something must be right.
Do you boycott Apple, why?
I'm in the same boat as Jafo, I just don't buy i-anythings anymore. Apple alienated me as a consumer years ago when they started that ad campaign about how cool it was to have a Mac and how PC's are inferior. Normally I wouldn't be bothered by that because it's just competition in the marketplace, but after that I had to start dealing with people who bought into it fully and would just
I adopted a couple cats from a coworker who couldn't take care of him after she developed a severe allergy to cats... we still make playdates at the office. The cures you mention are likely quite a way off, but there's something looming much more immediately. If we pinpoint which genes are responsible for everything from cancer to near-sightedness, it then becomes possible for couples to custom build their offspring, and never need cures for those problems in the first place. But should we? If you think having
