They got funded, but there's still a day and a half to get in and help them with their stretch goals. Apparently they've already added atomic squirrels to the game. Awesome.

Now there are so many good projects, that even good ones might not get funded. The kickstarter page is really awful for finding stuff as well.[/quote] That's very true. It seems like every time I look at KS, I find new projects that I'd love to fund. I've backed 7 different games already, and I
I went with the stronger CPU and weaker GPU for my rig 4 years ago (Phenom II X4 955 BE and the 260 GTX) and have no regrets. Only until last year have I had to turn down some of the higher graphics settings.
Using a stock cooler or going aftermarket?
These guys even have a "playable alpha demo" on their kickstarter page. The demo feels like they're just basically re-creating DK2, but I imagine that if they can have DK2 as their "base game", and then use their kickstarter funds to add on what they want, this could finally be the long awaited Dungeon Keeper 3. Just built a rig for my sister for $500. If I had bought the equivalent rig at Costco or something, would've set me back ~$800-$1,000. For $950 you could make a really sweet build depending on if you already have some of the peripherals (mouse, keyboard, monitor) from an old computer that you're happy

I'm certainly ready for more!
Looks like they got some big fish to bite! You would think that some of the base building nuts would come out of the woodwork for this. I'm still sour over the decision to cancel DK3 all those years ago. There just hasn't been a good base building game to fill the void left by DK2 (still play that all the time). Evil Genius was fun, but there were too many bugs and I always hated how locked in you were to your designs... you had better know what you're doing before placing

Rather than impatient haters, I'd like to view them as people who played SotS Prime a ton (like me) that got very used to that fleet system. Changing the mechanics to a completely different system in a niche game will tend to ruffle a few feathers. HoMM IV got a lot of flak for radically changing the game mechanics (although I thought HoMM IV was an excellent game). I don't like the mission system because it adds a layer of micromanagement that wasn't there previously (eve

Saying thing like women have better things to do than play games, is sexist because it imposes a preconceived notion, stereotype, that isn't true for a lot of women and that idea is what keeps people from hiring women in a very male workplace. When I think of what a "best friend" means, I think of somebody who I can connect and share anything with and expect equal reciprocation of that back. As a completely subjective way of putting it, how much you "click". I love my partner, we are honest with each other and she has a great time with my friends and I hers. We don't hide things from

So we're best friends. I have men that I am al

Endless Space is a very fun game. It's also great because Amplitude has listened to the gaming community and added a bunch of content and features that people playing the game actually want. I was having a blast with it when it came out, and they've taken care of pretty much all the niggling things I didn't like.
Looks like something that could be really fun... like a Fort Zombie game with much better graphics and no mountain of bugs.
Always used MSE and never had problems before... but that was when it was scoring highly compared to the other free programs. Maybe it's time for a change.

SotS II reminds me of an interview I read about in the Wolfenstein 3D Super Secret Map & Mission guide. There was a paragraph about the development of Wolf3D and the talks between John Romero and Adrian Carmack when they were in the initial development stages of the project.
