3D Printers are fun, useful and great to use, but that's only because I'm an architecture graduate. Making architecture models is kind of what early 3-D printers were designed to do, so no surprise there.
That game also slammed the door in my face because the re spawn was broken, in other words you get shot, die, then you cannot re spawn until everyone starts a new game..... what an ingenious environment for newbs to learn (extreme sarcasm alert).
When I read that I thought of America's Army. Pretty brutal game to learn, although I had guildmates that made it a blast.
It's an interesting comparison. FE doesn't have the depth or balance of Dom3 (yet...?), but it does provide that good 4x fantasy feel. The factions are becoming differentiated in a good way, hero leveling is coming into it's own. The magic system is not as diverse as Dom3, and the tactical battles are not quite there yet (but I always hated the lack of control in Dom3 battles), but it's mostly a balance issue. Legendary Heroes is a stand-alone expansion. They're also curre
Actraiser II for the SNES. It gave the illusion of being beatable, but the controls were too clunky during the side-scrolling platform part to actually do anything but bring pain and frustration.
What is awesome about homeworld? What kind of game is it?
It's a 3D space RTS. It has a great story and atmosphere, and plays almost opposite of the other space RTS that came out a year earlier, Starcraft. Whereas SC was mainly fast-paced, small scale tactics-oriented, Homeworld was slower-paced, relied on formations, larger scale tactics and strategy. I believe it won Game of the Year in 1999. It'
Saw this coming after that whole SOPA/PIPA outrage. You don't threaten to censor/regulate Fortune 500 companies AND override a citizen's right to privacy at the same time. Make sure you grease the wheels of those Fortune 500 companies with legal protection and THEN go after citizen's rights. After all, those corporations are the ones that elect legislators and not the people, right?
CISPA provides more legal cover for companies to share large swaths of

I played the M&M games more than any other rpg as a kid... more than Baldur's Gate, more than Ultima. If they screw this up it will make me very sad.
Yep, their final free content patch came out a few days ago. They have really improved on the "immersion" aspect of the game. The universe feels less static with all the new planet features. More UI refinement, more races, more balance, wonders, and tech. Combat is still very much the same, however. They will be addressing that in their first expansion (adding fighters, bombers, targeting options, etc.). If you really were turned off by the battle mechanics, I'd wait for the expan
Isometric RPG with tactical hex-based combat? Yes please! After spending 5 minutes watching the videos and reading through the webpage, I couldn't find any substantial details on the game though (is it open ended, leveling/characters, quests, dialogue, etc.). Looks great, just need a little more info.
