http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/07/29/press-release-2/ Anyone interested in actually educating themselves should start studying the data origins, and stop getting their information second hand from political hacks like the IPCC and internet trolls from skepticalscience.com that have a long history of being caught lying through their teeth. Not that I mind, really, this thread has given me hours of amusement so far. [/
A single volcano erupting will have more impact that all the CO's man has EVER belched out across our short lived civilizational history. Personally, I'd love it if it were a little warmer. I live in Northern Canada.
It can get quite chilly up there in Northern Canada. Although not in Northern Canada, I was up in Calgary a few years ago and the other day saw a picture in the paper of downtown
Ok, then why wasn't this predicted in the 1990s or in the IPCC report? If there's another decade of stable temperatures, do you have another rationale ready to retroactively use? The skeptics, like me, have pointed out since the start that the earth's climate is very very complex and there are a lot of moving parts involved. Humans certainly have an impact on global climate. It wouldn't be the first time an organism on
Also, I want to point out one important thing in another post (I should have mentioned this earlier)- Keep in mind that the last decade also had a VERY unusual solar cycle where the Sun solar minimum was much deeper than usual. Solar minimums are usually associated with slightly lower temperatures. So even if there was a slow in temperature rise, it is likely because of a known, observation effect (the solar minimum)
Don't worry, we'll get there soon enough. As they like to say -- "weather isn't climate". Since the worldwide mean temperature hasn't materially changed since 2001 but, according to the animated video shown the ice camps are melting, that would indicate some other cause (everything from a slight change in the earth's tilt to warmer winters to who knows what. Geez, I leave for a day and everything turns into a mess.
Yeah you do come off as more than "a bit condescending". As I stated above, anytime someone doesnt agree with the alarmists, they try to demonize you or tell you that you are too ignorant to understand whats happening. Sounds to me like you are the intolerant one. Or is your intolerance ok?
I don't agree with you, but I did state that I'm still open to facts. The only 'skeptic' in

Believe it or not, many great scientists around the world believe the theory of global *cooling* to be a far more likely outcome, perhaps foreseeable even in our lifetimes to a small extent. I was lucky enough to hear both sides from said scientists giving lectures in college. I'm not saying I believe 100% i
Looks like public pressure and the cries of outraged potential still mean something. Microsoft walked back on their "always on" internet requirement for offline games and will now let you trade and borrow used games without penalty. http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/update

Yep, I'd go with everyone else here and just build a new rig from scratch, maybe keep your dvd drive and power supply if it's a good, reliable brand and has decent wattage... but from those specs sounds like you should get a new one anyways. $400-$500 can get you a very respectable rig these days, especially if you already have decent peripherals and Windows licenses.

I used to play STO back when it was subscription. Very fun game... in space. The ground part always felt needlessly tacked-on, drawn out, no strategy and annoying.

It's like they're using a different grading scale than everyone else. <p
Is it too early for "shut up and take my money"?
I have always found Space Sector's reviews to be the most cogent, reliable and trustworthy. The points presented in the article are spot-on.

Man, you guys really need to use those spoiler tags. This is why I never look at any of these movie threads until after I've seen the movie.
