I pre-ordered SotS II and got burnt out in the beta. It's been a while since I picked it up... might have to go exploring it again soon if they've fixed everything.
I think Brad has explicitly stated that they have multiple game-related projects going on at once right now, but I could be mis-remembering that.
I remember that too. I think Derek said that in the preview art thread, that he saw 6 or 7 different projects in all the artwork shown. I'm a big fan of long, confusing names with colons. Also, don't forget that all of us are framed by our experiences. Humans tend to have their viewpoints skewed based on their own lives and memories, and very few of us have the ability to completely absorb someone else's mindset, to truly imagine what it would be like to be someone else (not just "If I were rich, I'd buy more things" and "If I were poor, I'd buy less things"). The single mom who works two jobs trying to make ends meet will very likely have a much different view

I dunno, connecting our minds to the "cloud" through some kind of augmentation seems pretty far fetched in 25 years. 200 maybe, although that far ahead who knows what the world will look like. I can only think of one reason and one reason only that augmented humans won't be the case in the near future: privacy. Look at all the backlash against the xbone for just having the Kinect read your facial expressions and movements. Think of all the people who have had some kind of identity

It's enjoyable but rough around the edges. The checkpoint saving is the worst offender, but I haven't been burned by that yet. Tactical combat is fun, yet as long as you specialize in anything you should be able to win your fights. The campaign is linear, with a couple offshoots for optional side quests. This is a game where I can nitpick about almost everything, yet I keep coming back to play it. Probably because of the nostalgia factor. Plus the joys of running through

I like the trading card system... because it's really easy to sell them to other people who want that extra fluff for their profile. Even at 20 cents a piece, I've got the potential of a hundred cards to sell, that could be $20.00. Sounds like a couple games to me!

Just brings to mind a scene from one of my favorite movies, Sneakers (1992): There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information! The world isn't run by weapons anymore, or energy, or money. It's run by little ones and zeroes, little bits of data. It's all just electrons. <i
