Request: Please make the 'random events' accessible at world creation. May we please have a checklist of random events, and a check box opting in/out of having the possibility of that event(s) occurring in that game. I detest the 'everyone at war' event, and reload whenever it happens. Other players love that event. I'm sure there are other events some players dislike. Why not just create a list of events and a check box next to each, a

Wizard of wrong directions strikes again.
Silly me, of course you have protection! (Did I really just write that,,, lol. )I'm the one who is paranoid. Actually I mostly do it to cut down on system resources being used in the background.
Regarding modding issue: the more modifiable a game is, the longer its 'shelf life' lasts. Just take a look at Fallout 3, a very old game time wise. Yet a brand new, entire stage setting is about to be released by players and fans - (called a 'total conversion' in some circles). SureAI did the same thing for Oblivion. SD would be well advised to make their game, via modding tools, as modifiable as possible (by fans). Want the longevity of Fallout and Morrorwind-oblivion-skyrim
They are identical twins separated at birth. Publius of NV, You do yourself proud to bring them back together!
what parrot said ^^^
Quoting ElanaAhova, reply 17Oh, I always play off line, except last turn of game to get 'achievements.' Ah, thanks for the information. I have not yet played in offline mode, so I didn't know that.
Ah, just curious, why do you play EH with internet active? Doesn't it slow the game down? (and increase your rigs exposure to the possible malware intrusions). Just curious..
Fall from Heaven mod (for Civ4) has wonderful variations and distinctiveness between the factions. Might they port some of that into EH?
Yes, I was offered tribute many times.
That was fast... lol
Specificity is important. parrotmath points out some some slippery wording, which makes other parts of the game require guesstimates. Are they 'units' (a formation) or 'figures'(individual entities)? 'units' have one or more 'figures' (individuals)in them. [BTW, I have chosen to refer to the individuals inside each 'formation' as a figure, as this is how they appear on the tac map, and the updating mechanism.) A stack has from one to nine 'units,' This may seem to be belaboring the labels
I also had no problem getting established. I took the archer, and went and founded what became my primary fort. I kept away from the nasty HQ, and went west. Did quests, and nailed any 'scouts' from the HQ. The big scare was all the giant trogs. Their 10 foot long axes were wielded like sushi knives on my troops... oye (fun to watch after the initial scare wore off.
Oh, I always play off line, except last turn of game to get 'achievements.' Its a pain because after I close the game, steam is still running in off line mode... and it hangs, and hangs for a long time. Logging off forces off-line steam to let go of my PC.
BTW, (in tutorial): water issue workaround; sometimes its easier to send the boat - empty - out to find an uncontested shore, build a arcane tower, and then cloud walk your sov/troops there. Its maddening to have a full stack spend so many years sitting on a boat, hoping you 'find' the right place. This way, your sov is out getting experience, and defending/attacking, questing while ship searches for landfall.
I agree with many of the points made above. Very frustrating to have higher initiative (moving first) way-too-often TRAPPED behind much slower acting troops. This is maddening on many city boards with the two, one square wide passages), and some outside fields that have big, un-transverse-able 'holes', etc. This happens way, way, too often. Or maybe I should stop designing a few quick (initiative) troops (who are always trapped by friendly formation) and make them all slow tanks? Please reti
I had this happen (off-sides units) several times during the LH v0.90 scenario. Did not get screenies, sorry.
BTW, you meant an "altar," (place) not "alter" (not a place...), Oh, never mind, when the offering is placed on the altar, the altar alters into non-existence. Silly me. j/k
YEs, save and reload frees up the frozen units. Its just a pain getting steam offline to 'let go' of an already closed LH game.
Hey parrot, my bad, got playing the new scenario... and the weekend went by, sun eve, almost midnight... and not gotten to quest maker...my bad... OR blame it on the scenario....
5% ok, so how many 'elanas' and 'ahovas' will there be? ... rofl. henchmen names = parrot, math, borg, phazonlad, Azuni, etc.
Henchfolk, in 'reality' generally come in two varieties, female, and male. So, henceforth, (smile) I also ask that 'henchmen' be modified so as to give the player a choice between genders of the henchfolk trained [henchwomen, henchmen].
I'm amazed how far EH has come in such a short time. Thank you all at SD. Now, please consider a revision of how clicking is done in many of the windows. [First] Diplomacy: Since there is no, one, window to see the diplo stances between yourself and all the AIs, modify the diplo window so the player many move the two side windows (with resources) next to the center area, and cut down an all the big, repetitive mouse sweeps. I do a lot of modding for Skyrim. I have found GIMP (with the free addon for NIF files) to be more than adequate for all my needs. Occasionally, MS Paint gets used. Agree with Doc, unless you are a professional, or have lots of discretionary cash (and time to learn) PS is not necessary.
