Oh, you ran into the 'invulnerable caravan of war' ploy. Nasty, isn't it? I think the invulnerable caravans should be invulnerable to monsters/wilds, and not kingdom/empire forces.

True, "noted" doesn't offer any real choices. Perhaps this indicated the AI for the message sending sov is now 'more open' to a NAP / Alliance? (in response to the perceived increased threat from . If this message was also tied to a significant favorable changes in the AIs attitude towards you, (NAP/Alliance cheaper to get for a few turns), then it would be worthwhile.

[quote who="cwg9" reply="3" id="3359093"] And there's the henchmen that Altar get as well. Frankly I usually get more heroes in my games than I can field decent armies for or can level up to a decent level, so I'm not feeling any pressing need to have more of them. A few always just end up in towns being expensive unrest reducers. Edit: One thing I would like to see though is more options to choose from when we unlock new heroes at each fame threshold, as s

Actually, there are, already. a few heroes that you 'find' on the map. They are 'found' via completing certain quests. And they are cool heroes!

Yes, the system is 'lying' when it informs you an alliance treaty has expired. Alliance treaties don't have a time limit -and are not revocable. They don't expire because they can't expire. I have learned to ignore that 'notification.' Was scary the first time I saw the message, though.

Nope. I like to establish a domain, build up the cities, create viable force pools, see the lovely green spread, and basically, 'build a part of the world' into a garden state. My one beef is how difficult it is to get roads built fairly intelligently. The road building skill isn't ;t always accessible soon enough. Perhaps I'm something of a competition-ist. I save the game winning quests for the time when I have completed all other quests, explor

Game balancing issues: implement them in a manner that the player may choose. For example, the issue of settlement population levels unlocking new "free' buildings, etc. May I kindly suggest that instead of making all the balancing changes via hard code - instead, implement the changes at world creation via a slider, or set of choices selected via checkboxes? For example, with settlement / population intermix: give several set ranges, and have a check box to select it. If a use wants settl

Diplomacy info Suggestion: Main window, upper right hand corner, diplomatic info box. Add treat status to info bars, after name, before 'power rating.' T= NAP treaty currently active with that faction. A = alliance treaty currently active for that faction. "$" indicates trade treaty active, "RD" or "RnD" (research and development) or "IQ" for tech research treaty active. Example: [face/crossed words - Name of faction - T IQ - power rating number] This would allow players to see

Greater demons are unlocked with the Ereog's Journal Tech. Yes, the games been a hoot. (hoot = great fun). Little crow demon to greater crow demon: "How do I get to be big and strong like you." "Is easy Crow my lad, just wait for the leader to cast grave-yada on the enemy, then fly up and lighting land next to them. You and a buddy can kill almost anything that way. Little crow replies, "Yes, but its so hard, cause the Cyndummy demons are always trying to hit first." LOL. Hand a riot in

Great discussion about resolyn. started a game w res as sov. It is a hoot - but takes lots of fine balancing at first when still relying on shard troops. keep ya posted if you like.

"General" tree: When I first started playing, I kept thinking the 'general' tree was about military generals. For new people playing the first time, change this label to "generalist" would more clearly indicate what it is about.

I have no problem with the experience multiplier choices. Its a tradeoff between getting an early usable skill, or 'saving up / studying up' on better skills faster /later. The tress for city administrator/military commander/ [+guilder/research/per turn] seem fine. They are all forms of 'administration' - organizing the group to preform better.

Never got far enough to use spiders as resolyn. I use spiders I tame, quite a bit as a beast master. The spiders, bears, and wolf/fast lizard thingys make a decent army early on. And as support troops to a standard army, they are great. I find therm very useful even in mid game. They free up production for building infrastructure instead of (some) troops. The hoarder spider has massive HP and 'dazes' all enemies. Mauling units sometimes lets me take

Yes, the resolyn shrine generate troops are cool. And the demon unit adds figures every time it kills an enemy unit. Yada. Very powerful, in early game, but fragile. It is a long but brittle spear (metaphorically). Resolyn's units become outclassed very quickly by more traditional troops. This sov has great flavor, but is a poor choice for playing to survive, er.. win.

Parrot, here is the install instructions: I suggest it go at the end of the EQM manual. It is a pain, every time one goes to look something up, and they have to wade thru the install instructions to get to the content they are looking for. eWIP > Setting Up Your Install of ElementalQuest Master (EQM) 1 – Download zip file. 2 – Unpack zip file. 3 – Follow prompts. 4 – tell ElementalQuestMaster where your eleme

I disagree with the folks who want counter spell removed. In early game, facing a (the ethereal thingy that 'wails/ can't be hit with non-magical weapons) - counter spelling is only way for low level stack to have any chance of success.
