Earth ones are like hulks, great to throw in and take some damage, then pull out to 'die another day.'

Actually, I have seen this twice in my games. If the settlement is in a very confined space, (like inside an ox bow of the river), or other confining terrain, the settlement cannot grow.
I just upgraded flash player to allow amazon movie views to work on my PC. It downloaded a program that had to be 'activated' to actually install flash-player. OK. Cool. BUT> It also downloaded and installed, without asking me, "google drive." I've binged 'google drive' and it seems to be an instant, over the web, way to access all sorts of stuff on my PC from other places. I don't want / need this particular functionality. Further, given web corps insatiable hunger for data about 'peopl
yes, the cyrodum ones get a new member (up to five) every time they kill a unit... so they sorta heal themselves in combat.
and when wallace the reaches 164,000 it resets to zero, so we get "wallace the zero?"
All the young ones have uses, especially since, when killed, the shard generates a replacement. The mirror ones are great when fighting a big large beast with high HP and high melee hit damage. The mirror may die, but the big hit the beast put on the mirror also hits back at the beast. So send in the ... mirrors... to soften up a big hulk of a beast before your troops / heros get into the melee.

About swarm bonus. Some units (wolves, etc.) have a swarm bonus, meaning they get a better 'benefit' from swarm attacking.
Dark City was (is) one of the most intriguing movies I have seen. Pitch black was entertaining, chronicles was lame. Hope this new one gets back to the success formula of pitch black.
One idea not mentioned above (I think). I always try to get my sovereigns first (or main) hero companion to be an army commander. The army wide bonuses help a lot early on. And when you start increasing the entire army's initiative, that's a big boon late game. Also, since we all generally remove several sets of troops from our main armies becuase newly trained troops have better traits, fortress add ons, etc., the trainer strait also helps get the new troops hardened faster, mid late game
Setting up next to the sea does not add any buildings. It does, however, give you a safe area, fewer approaches to your settlement.Well, at least until the Krackens migrate over...
There is a bit when you clear the western enclave of grogs, and discover a boat by the beach. Go there and it tells you you can use the boat to go behind the lines and attack. I did that, while holding the land bridge. Was a pain. Won't do it again. Will stick to frontal assault thru land bridge.
Yes, the selling price for items is superciliously discounted. I find it better to hold on to equipment and give it to heroes that come on board later.
4. Re-introduce snaking for piers and logging camps What does this mean?
I think the author meant that the snaking mod makes it easier to get access to the pier and logging camp buildings, for that settlement, because it allows you to snake your city in the direction of the river/forest therby 'unlocking' that building for the settlement. Sometimes a settlement is close to woods/riv
I've been looking into modding, mostly cause I hate manually building roads and I can't find some auto-router, something similar to the civilization route-to mode for instance. (it also bugs me that the roads do not connect automatically to a city) we'll see how it gets on in tandem with my rl, but hey I'll try and make that work out.
I'm not crazy about manually building roads, but the cr

Seems fishy that a hero gets killed in battle, s/he 'goes home t
I have been watching various shows on netflix via the web for over a year. Until recently, never had a problem. However, about a month ago, it got very laggy (stopping and buffering every two minutes, or more often...) especially in the evening. Cold reboot does not help. Is this because web activity goes up in the eve (east coast time)? Other things seem OK with PC. Any suggestions to get better viewing (reduce elim lag). Use Firefox - updated. Thx...
seems hostile stacks sharing the same square (or atop / inside a settlement) do not attack one another directly, but, upon moving outside the square, then attack.
All the advice above is quite solid. The differences are play style, etc. For me, I start with a fort, this gives me a production advantage used to more quickly make needed units. And the first tier money, research buildings go up fast. Also, after getting established, I may make border settlement into forts for the better defenses, walls, etc. Also, Forts don't kick out a +1 ZOC as do towns, so a border with lairs is safer to infiltrate this way. Its all play style, and knowing the impli
Now lets hope this medical 'miracle' will be available to all people, and not just the wealthy, famous, and politically connected.
Three fame to get hero? Are the heroes all from the ranks of the laughing little people?? JK... laugh. I did not discover the three fame level unlocking a hero (because I go the tower domination route). One recent game, I had several 'fame award for easy lairs, (lucky I am). Viola, new hero before tower is built. What a (pleasant) surprise!
You sure cashed in on this one! way to go....
Also note that some "equipped' items or possessed items grant the bearer the 'ability' to do some extraordinary things. For example: 'teleport across the field, land, and do c8-12 lighting damage to all units adjacent to landing unit. Some let you cast certain spells (Cloak - blindness) with no mana cost. Some of the items are really cool, and may affect your characters approach in battle.
SD treats us like people,, neighbors, fellow members of the village ( not the brit "in the village" with #6, lol). Froggy kept his word. He has shown remarkable integrity. I applaud him and his team. When corporatist(s) tell me corporations promises (by hte very nature of the system) are only as good as your attorney can force them to be, I point to Brad/SD and tell them it doesn't have to be that way. We don't have to live in a dog-eat-dog world. SD is a shining example of how a corporati
Riddle me this, any one get the 'stars' riddle? the grave riddle? BTW, i thought the "B:" answer was for Bees... the little hive oriented insects... yellow pollen, is grabbed by pails that are built into their feet. Hence 'little workmen, vat = hive, and, at least in my neck of the woods, the most common bee to see is the 'yellowjacket.' Whatever the meaning, "b" is the answer.
