The Horus Heresy (warhammer 40k) has been pretty filled so far with half of them becoming corrupted. Although obviously there are powerful external influences. Several times the bad guys win, and the entire Horus Heresy lore ends up with man's greatest friend in a coma for 10 000 years. That part hasn't been written into the book series yet, but I think it's not a spoiler to say how that ends up since it has been

I don't have a Google+ account... ... is what I thought until Google randomly decided to create one a few months back (out of my gmail account? my iGoogle account? who knows). With this and the fact that they can use any info you upload in advertisements, well, it seems like they're trying to hammer in that last nail.

Age of Wonders 3 - looks great from videos. Endless Legend - From the makers of Endless space, my most positive space experience in 2012. Actually this might not be out in 2014. Dungeon of the Endless - played the alpha, I think this might be a very strong contender for "best surprise of 2014" for a lot of people when it is finished. Anything from W40k franchise. Seriously. Like, seriously. Battlefield 4 in a playable state should be interesting. Mantle support
Bioshock Infinite - I waited until there was a good sale, but definitely worth picking up if you haven't already.
I think this is my most positive surprise of the 2013 year. Stunning visuals for the most part. Don't Starve, talked about it before. Great cute little game. Civ 5 Brave new world, finally puts Civ5 a notch above civ 4. Dominions 4 also in my "most appreciated" game list, although I wouldn't say it's particularly good.

There's too much damn computer game in this computer game. I'm afraid of computer games. The devs should give an option not to play the game when I launch it. That way, those of us who suffer from playing computer games won't have to. Besides the fact that this computer game has a computer game in it, I quite like it.

I think this is going to remain a very niche product. At best we'll see some improvements for games on linux. At worst the internet will shake with the cries of the entitled select few. So far I haven't seen a single reason why a SteamOS would be better for any game than windows 7. And you're dreaming about linux becoming the "dominant" platform. That's a joke.

1. No, the dlc item fix mod fixes problems that do not currently exist with Children of Storm. 2. No idea what mods are compatible, usually if they are they might say something in the post though.

I remember reading that the Yakuza were paying homeless people 60$ a day for working with the clean-up around the power plant. As for the actual impact of the disaster, who can say? Some tell me it's being handled, and then a week later I hear Japan asking the world for technical assistance, and some other guy tells me this could be worse than Chernobyl. At the end of the day I'm just glad it's on the other side of the world, and they at least brought this on themselves.</
I like the idea of Firaxis using this to come up with a strategic turn-based XCOM game. Don't get me wrong, I like the four-to-six sized squad of soldiers taking on the aliens, but haven't you ever wanted to duke it out with a full batallion armed with plasma rifles and grenades?
To be honest, any kind of MASS warfare sounds interesting to me. Let's have a couple of thousand soldiers fighting instead of
