That's why Stormworld has Centaurs, Frost Giants, Undead skeletons, Golem, halfspiders, haldrakes, halfsnakes, living stone units. All those were done using the normal bodytype. No, imho, the problem isn't bodytype but what you decide to do with it. I'm curious what you did to pull this off. Did y

There's no beginner's guide currently. The best way to go forward is to think about what you want to accomplish, then look at other mods and if they are doing something like what you want. If they are you can learn from how they did it. For example, here's Frogboy adding a simple lightning amulet to the game: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/elemental_fallen_enchantress/1/
Should almost do a poll on this: Would you be willing to give up player designed units to have a greater visual variety in the races? Basically, the limitation is that each body type / skeleton requires its own set of clothing, armor, etc.
No thanks! Besides, not to argue with you, but the issue isn't body type / skeleton. Yes, but there is no use of it ingame because it is confusing as hell. That is my theory anyway.

Not a dime would end up in my pocket. The whole point would be to pay for additional models, making the mod better for all those that paid already. A pyramid scheme really, but for the benefit of all who chose to participate.

No, but even if they did how would that solve the problems for others? I see seanw3 linking to mediafire for example, which just means that the mods aren't all in the library. These problems should be ironed out for those that follow, special access for me is no solution at all.

As I said, it'd be something that Stardock would have to sign off on. And there are other contributors to the mod, they'd have to OK their contribution as well (or I'd remove it, remake it).

I'm getting a bit pissy about the approval process. It's been more than 24 hours now that my mod Stormworld has been unavailable because of it. What's the point of having a mod library like this if we aren't going to use it because of this process?

Meh... I'd rather people contributed a very small sum than rely on donations. If the purpose is to get new models, then people should be paying for access to the mod. But anyway, if that is ever going to happen, it will be in the future (like, sequel to FE future probably). Thank you for getting the quote.

Press + and - to increase the size of your terrain tool area. No need to go tile to tile.

What features exactly are you missing? Anyway, additions to the cartographer will be from Stardock, no modder can alter that tool.

Just copy-paste the xml for them into a new file and you're golden. They have references to frostgiant unitstats but that won't affect you. /Stormworld_Shared/Reliquary_OVERWRITE_corespells.xml

Thinking about it, my approach would be to make it an upgrade for iron ore mines instead. That way you maintain control over the income and outcome. Ie, I'd remove Iron Works from the game and put a Steel Smelter there instead (+2 Metal, +2 Steel).

7 Replies 3,010 Views

You can also set up an independent improvement that reduces metal income by -1 and increases steel income by +0.5 or so. It could be tricky though, because your metal income may change over time and you could run into negative metal if you just keep subtracting.

Unfortunately I have no idea. It usually takes a couple of hours (2-6) to get something approved. I think I just passed 24 hours, so maybe something's up.
you don't have to ask for permissions and you don't have to appease anybody actually this is a good example: http://forums.bethsoft.com/user/359506-wrinklyninja/
I can't view the profile without logging in.

I'm not looking for donations though, that's different. I don't want to give up following "my vision" just to appease a bunch of entitled donors. Besides, this is something for the future, I don't think it would sell anything if I put it up as it is now. And then there's getting permission from Stardock, from the people that contributed to the mod, so on so forth.
