Sure, the spells can unlock from whatever you want - spells, improvements, traits, faction abilities, world resources, finished quests, or even just a book you found somewhere.

Also try setting the modifier before the charmtarget modifier. Maybe there's a bug there where the unit is charmed, and thus "lost" to the game engine. If you have the modifier in front you may prevent that.

The modifier works, I think maybe it just doesn't work like you think it does. 1) The spell costs 40 mana to cast. You see 40 mana in-game. 2) You cast the spell, it uses up 40 mana. 3) In your example, if the spell is successful, it drains target's level * -1 mana from the caster's pool Try setting the mana lost to a larger value such as 100.

It's not possible to add that sort of dynamic creation of an item's attributes. It is also not possible to add that sort of creation of items. ddd888 made this post a bit back which has one kind of system in it: https://forums.elementalgame.com/431320 In that mod, you buy recipes, then bring the particular items to a quest point created by using the recipe. This way you can require stuff like "three wolf pelts" because that's possible in quest xml &n

First decide which one you want to copy, and who of the core sovereigns you can find it on. For example Relias. Go to data/english/CoreUnits.xml in the installation directory and search for a unit with Relias in the . Inside the same unittype you will find this ReliasCutscenePack . Copy that bit and go to Documents\My Games\FallenEnchantress\Units\ and open up the XML for your created sovereign. Search for <

It's not the scroll scribe, it's Conclave type city, then go Herbalist -> Apothecary. You need at least 1 essence in the city to be able to build it.

No, you need to treat it like a resource all the way through. Not prereq but ProductionRequirement > Type > Resource<

[quote who="Alstein" reply="28" id="3273957"]Given this game is 2.5 weeks past release, is it really buggier than Civ IV, AOW:SM 2.5 weeks after their releases? Given the development time, it should be less buggy, and I think it is, but I think some of you guys are forgetting how messed up those games were before patching and in Civ IV's case two expansions to get it right. I won't say expectations are unfair, as there are some

It appears the AI can build anything the human player can build, ie if it appears as trainable in the train window the AI will build it. There are no local resources in FE, but check out the comments in CoreResources.xml and you'll soon find your way (it is still possible to use them as such).
